Whether it’s us or not, any day soon it will be us for sure and we’ve had further political commitment for a sovereign, with vast amounts of LFD testing, which is proving to work. It will further advance the case to other nations that ours is a successful model.

Whichever way BBI will be all over this (more motivated than the other lot). They have a lot at stake and big production lines that are being scheduled to produce many millions of pieces. Also we must remember Avacta is not a one man show, they have an experienced board and a broad management team who I'm sure called it a day with the other lot and started to get a lot more practical about getting on with things. I think we'll see much quicker results and due respect to commitments and deadlines.

I had a sense Cytiva were too detached. Sure they would take the money for the business they’re in, to make stuff, trial and play around with. I’m sure they have provided part of what’s been needed but what a pelaver. Glad it’s in touching distance and under more control.
Hugely uplifting hearing BJ with the success community trials beginning to prove effective. It’s clear evidence of a sensible testing strategy that will provide a vast volume for a long time to come.
Importantly, it can demonstrate internationally that the model works and needs to be maintained, despite vaccines.
The Avacta licensed export is potentially vast.

I agree, I've done the same on a second read. I just thing it was all handled really badly. A better written update would have reflected the position as it is but with a lot more conviction. It's largely as it was other than there's a more commercial approach with the swab added which seems to have ticked the boxes in testing elsewhere. Why not have the swab aswell? Why rule yourselves out of a relatively easily adapted part of the offering? They should have announced this 2 weeks ago, at the time they made the amends on the web site, when they clearly knew it was going this way. What's happened to Cytiva? ok they did take an age and maybe they are all hype with other fish to fry. I'm not entirely surprised, I always felt they were lording it over a bit and their stupid lab roots conferences reflected them in that light.
The AS video release was also handled badly, it lacked frankness and punch. More could have been done by Al than practically reading the words of the RNS. I'm sure we would handle direct talking much better than the tone that's ended up being delivered.
I'm very disappointed by the Avacta comms team and their advisors. I don't thing they're up to it.

Makes total sense. Everyone would follow suit to get their pass. Would guarantee uptake v little encouragement. No different to youngsters needing and ID card to get served in a pub.

The scale of testing market is less speculative than it was 2/3 months ago and has become abundantly clear to more people that it’s need is longer term and complimentary to any vaccines rather than being ruled out by them. It’s also more evident that extreme supply and demand issues for an easy test, that works, make this market a no brainer.

It’s crafted wording and feels like they’re all over them, unlike many bigger firms who are more generalist on case studies.
This content would have been run past the client. They do have interesting experience and case studies, particularly also the NHS Digital client, whoever that may be.
The case study juxtaposition seems to flow in a chronological thought line.

I’ve a feeling the change in wording could be down to pre-emotive legal advice. They may have encountered Cytiva playing hard ball at the final stretch, particularly as they would have their mits on the TT which arguably is the golden ticket. Note they also took down the bit about international partners. Cytiva may claim ownership of ‘spit process’ as part IP and their vile US lawyers holding fast for an improved shareholder deal, rather than passing it over with the glory and more of the money. It may not be as extreme, might just be guidance from the Leeds lawyers. It’s just telling that they made more than one amend on the website. Why would they amend both otherwise?
If this is the case, it will be in final knockings for drafting the RNS and avoiding the unnecessary dispute thereafter.
There may also be desire in the announcement to play down partners now and parade it as all Brit.

It’s so blatant it defies belief. There should be tighter regs around that kind of PR/release/timing. Not just because of obvious financial gain in that stock but one can’t help wonder how much unfair advantage can be gained with plays on the rest of the markets.
The statement had all the effect it was set out to achieve but had no requirement to provide due supporting evidence.
Will be even more turbulent for the markets if it’s kicked our at the next step.

Agree- Total common sense and very little has changed from our side other than we’re closer and still here. All the evidence is continually in front of us.
A lot of us have our balls on this and as with many things, no matter how sure you are, it’s still scary at times. I am glad to have my balls on this and still feel it will prove to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Glad to have The Masters to take my mind off it for 4 days though!

End of an era. Will be hugely missed.

From time to time I’ve been wondering if I’ve died and I’m now going through an out of body experience. Life has become surreal. During the earlier part of this pandemic, there was a feeling of social community. We had Thursday night clapping, Zoom quizzing, dog walking, Captain Tom, Joe Wicks and stories of how much money we’ve all saved on train fares, fags and beers. It’s not nearly as Blitz like now. It’s come back like the Zulu and it’s come back a lot worse and no one gives a hoot about Joe Wicks anymore.

I’ve tried be positive but am really beginning to struggle. The situation has become profoundly dark this time and it’s not going to lighten up without proper leadership; someone with single minded courage and determination across the floors.

Let’s face it, we all know our government are a bunch of inept wan’ers. None of us would put them in our ‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here’ teams, would we? Think about it.

So, we are where we are. We elected a bunch of king idiots because they were a better option than the other lot. To be honest, it’s not an excuse, we have ourselves to blame. Do we carry on through generations accepting ineffectual leadership because it’s our system and there’s no other way? We laugh at the Americans who convince themselves that Trump is somehow acceptable. The other one they put up is simply not good enough to slay the endemic social demon, whether he gets in or not.

On to us. This nightmare must come to and end. I said to friends earlier this year that I would have delegated this Corona problem to our military. It seemed extreme but if we’re going to regain our liberty, we need to sacrifice it in the short term. We must implement our LFTs and make their use utterly compulsory i.e evidenced as currency like everyday cash or tap cards in your wallet.

We must implement Draconian measures forbidding a good deal of freedom, with all required testing regulations. We need to scale up our LFT production to a higher level than bullets in WW2.

I started off as an Avactarian in April and am still a totally committed Avactarian. It was all about money to me up until recently. Not as much now. I do feel for the other lot when their’s tank. (well, a little!) We always knew they were backing ****e solutions but it’s still unkind laughing at the guy that backed the wrong horse, even though they show no empathy with us.

We’ve all read and researched to a ridiculous degree and narrowed down to our righteous solution. It’s a challenge which looks inevitably won and way past ongoing skirmishes. It’s all about saving our precious world now.
