This is an easy one.

Because the company is cash poor the directors have been happy to take shares in payment for their services.

It's a situation that works out more advantageous in the long term as Directors are responsible for the share price and if they blow the company credibility on American court cases then they know their ability to be rewarded for their work will be somewhat damaged.

Thankfully this hasn't dropped below 0.6. Just hope there isn't an appeal and the board focus on the products reliability as fighting the likes of Musk in court isn't necessarily a good idea.

Perhaps more details of the case will come to light and we can all understand what made a four year dispute turn out to be a calamity whereby our patent portfolio and IP have taken a kicking.
