Once a farmer always a farmer, my dad had to be carried off in a coffin from his farm house. Sadly the small family arable/livestock farm with a beautiful hay meadow included is becoming a rare thing in the uk, thanks to the big boys buying them up, pension funds investing in the land and then letting management companies like Velcourt do the work for them, in addition, did we all realise that agricultural land is one of the things you can buy and pass onto your heirs without incurring inheritance tax...why do you think Dyson is buying up any large estate he can get his hands on in Lincolnshire with all of his spare vacuum cleaner billions...? You didn't think he was interested in farming did you....?
