The same seller may be responsible for some of these transactions, but I know that at least one of yesterdays 250k transactions was in fact a buy, because I was doing a small top-up.
Forgive me if it's slipped under my radar, but have we actually seen the Remuneration Committee Report that we're voting on at the OGM on the 10th Aug? It's a moot point of course, but I'm tempted to vote against it to reflect my increasing frustration with the performance of our Executive Chairman.
I thought he did a reasonable job in the AGM at the end of June, but the silence has been deafening since?
I asked Clive about attending the AGM and he kindly responded (see below), indicating that in practice, a brokers letter confirming ones share holding wouldn't be necessary on the day. I'm also aware that brokers can take 5 days to respond.
I'll see you there ;-)
If you hold your shares in your own name then it will appear on the share register and the registrar will tick you off when you arrive.
If you hold your shares via a broker / intermediary then technically you should get them to write you a letter appointing you as their representative for the meeting. This would also allow you to vote at the meeting.
However, in practice there will be no problem in getting in whether or not you have a letter from the broker / intermediary and no seat reservations are required.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Clive
The Market Makers and/or LSE aren't being entirely transparent again... I picked up another 500k at 15:12 and no sign of them yet!
Is anyone going along to the AGM? It's quite a hike, but I'm genuinely quite excited at the prospect of getting some unexpectedly good news? ;-)
I think you may be able to view it here KumKuat... apologies if you're referring to a different one? Cheers

I'm sure it's just a bit of profit taking, coupled with the Market Maker's trying to get some more liquidity into the stock after this mornings increase. I wouldn't worry for one moment. The value of our Company has risen by about a third this morning with a lot more anticipated in the coming months. 'Cash is king' and we're generating far more than any time in our history, and that value will return to us, either as dividends and/or share price appreciation. My calculations (entirely personal) suggest that my anticipated/guestimated! dividends from Casp has increased by almost £20k pa this morning on the back of this RNS. I think the share price will be in double digits if and when the Board declare the dividend during June/July. Long term holders will be making a very healthy return, and this may be the segway out of the AIM and into the FTSE 350? Good luck all!
The two £20k transactions were my Bed & ISA... only a fortnight after placing the trade with Interactive Investor!? Still, can't complain about only losing £30 in the transaction.
Morning all,
Can I sense check whether anyone else is having the same problem as me with my broker; Interactive Investor.
I placed a Bed & ISA request when the market opened on the 6th April, and it still hasn't executed, and Interactive Investor say they can't say when it will happen due to the volume of Bed & ISA requests! Feels a bit shabby to me?
Obviously I'm keen to transfer as many shares as possible so hopefully it'll happen before we start to head north again.
Morning Devonman... suspect it'll just be a Bed & ISA trade?
Morning MrC... I suspect that Kumkuat was suggesting that he's aware that the sum of a number of our holdings (ie people on this Bulletin Board) = roughly 10% of the free float? That feels about right to me...
I think Kumkuat is possibly the largest holder amongst us with circa 1% of the free float...
Apologies for speaking for you KumKuat ;-)
Shall we do a reccy?
I will have 0.7% (after the debt conversion)
Like everyone here, I was disappointed to see that Mr Carver has used these 2020 Results to slip in the fact that the Courts had rejected our appeal to reduce the £32m of historic costs. I'm just wondering whether we've been 'hoisted on our own petards' by the Authorities, because as many of us will remember, it was 3 to 4 years ago that many of us (myself included) bought into the notion that Caspian was holding back on publicising the success of A5 until they were awarded the licence to sell with reference to global prices?! It could be that the Authorities believed that too, and consequently applied the historic costs to the whole MJF Structure? That might have been fair(ish) if A5 et al had been successful... but it has come back to bite us. Just a thought?
I suspect that the 'market' has rather overacted to the news that we were all expecting anyway... the share price has dropped circa 12% today on the sale of less than 1/2000th of the shares in issue. That doesn't quite make sense to me!
I'm nursing a substantial 6 figure loss on Caspian, so I'm reluctant to contemplate selling... and I still have a hunch that this could still turn a tidy profit if and when the majority shareholders acquiesce to farming out to a major player. The reserves are there, and it will only take one successful strike to unlock a huge amount of potential!
Not sure if I'm day-dreaming but looking at MLQ's MarineTraffic website reference below... our Caspian Explorer is no long moored at the quayside but 'attached' to the Sepano cargo ship a little way out of the harbour?! Hmmm!
I'd recommend Interactive Investor for their Bed & ISA transaction management... I moved £20k of KDNC on the 6th, and sold 80,004 to re-buy 79,856 in the ISA, so I lost 148 shares in the transaction which equated to c£37, which I think's pretty good considering the spread at the time. The transaction happened around midday on the 6th, which is quicker than previous years, but I placed the Bed and ISA request in the very early hours of the morning just in case there was a queuing process in place.
I agree, it will only take one 3-4 month rental to fund the purchase! In any other time this would seem to be a 'bargain'.
It's interesting to note how few shares are available at the moment? I've just tried to buy a £10k top-up, but had to settle for £2k's worth at the full ask? A snippet of good news to reverse the sentiment on Casp could lead to a disproportionate increase in the SP?
The buy/sell indicators are being rather misleading again... I've just bought £20k's worth that's being shown as a 'sell' and then a further £10k that's being shown as an 'unknown'... ho hum!
You're right about the £20k Bed & ISA transactions... so one was a 'buy' of course.
I'd like to highlight that Interactive Investor did the transaction for just £38, with which I'm delighted. The only caveat is that I requested the trade on 6th April, with no control over the timing. The share price has almost doubled and then halved again during that period, so I've fallen lucky with the number of shares that have been added to the ISA ;-)
This is becoming very interesting!
Just tried to buy £20k's worth... but couldn't... so, walked my offer all the way down through £10k, £5k etc.... and couldn't buy anything until I got down to just 10 shares for 65p!!!
There appears to be literally no stock available.
This could double or triple in value today?
I'm really hoping that the too £20k sells this morning are actually the Bed & ISA transaction that I requested at 4:29pm last night. I'd be very, very impressed with Interactive Investor if they've been able to do it with a 0.05p spread? To be confirmed....
Couldn't agree more about buys being marked as sells... I've picked up another £29.7k's worth over the past 3 days (inc one today for 155,078) and all marked as sells.
Wouldn't mind quite so much if the act of doing so didn't negatively affect the psychology of the folk in our LSE/Advfn/Twitter communities. It's only our collective sentiment that depresses the share price.!? It's a strange irony, that if we all started to feel (or even feign) positivity and buy shares then the price would rise and we'd start a self perpetuating journey to 12p and beyond ;-)
