IndyNial- Nigella Lawson is your girl. Or at least, I think that’s what my SO mumbled while I very lovingly poked him in the ear with a mayonnaise smothered chicken nugget.
Seriously though- I’m sure we can all ‘stoop’ to what’s necessary for a life saving device that allows us to go about our normal lives.
Not quite sure which planet you are living on Abdalian, but thankfully for you, it doesn’t appear to be this one.
As of today, France has recorded its’ highest single day count since the start of the outbreak. India has recorded the highest ever number of cases in the world. That’s the reality right now. Whilst the level of death rates has waned with measures taken over summer, it is sadly only a matter of time before we begin see an increase again.
A very interesting article, thanks Trader_3.
Richard Dobbs declares a conflict as he has invested in some of these innovators. I see he follows Myles McNulty on Twitter. Putting it out there with no prejudice, make of it what you will. But as Mr Dobbs references a 10 minute test, it’s certainly an interesting connection.
Don’t keep low please Chiron. We don’t need to lose another well informed contributor who is able to disassemble the science and present it in a manner more comprehensible to those of us with less scientific brains.
Good luck to you too.
Agree Vegas.
While we don’t like the extra time spent at the airport with the added layer of security, we have all become used to it and accept it as imperative to our safety. I’m sure most people will prefer to know that they not sitting next to someone on the plane with the virus. Perhaps this may become part of the security routine in the future for other pandemic viruses too.
Wow, minimil. Rude. There are some fantastic contributors on this board who I for one am extremely grateful to.
And, although I’m sure Doggy100 doesn’t need me to speak for him, neither does he need to prove himself to you, he sounded enthusiastic like most of us today.
Anyway- it’s been one hell of a week, and I’m off for a celebratory tipple (or two)so cheers everybody and have a good weekend :)
These are still my two favourite paragraphs from recent RNSs:
“I am immensely proud of what has been achieved by Avacta's diagnostics team. Their progress in just a few months would have been challenging under normal circumstances, but with the additional restrictions imposed by COVID-19, it has been an outstanding example of hard work, ingenuity and commitment from a world-class team.
I look forward to further updating the market as we go through the next stages of manufacturing scale-up, clinical validation, regulatory approval and product launch."
The confidence of the latter is overwhelming. And to take time to praise your team in such glowing terms speaks volumes to me about the leadership and integrity of Alistair Smith.
What a great company to be invested in.
Reposting this excellent find by Muck165 and Wiggly for anyone who has arrived here since yesterday and may have missed it:

If you filter by Antigen, Saliva and Self test - you will see the AVCT is the only company under evaluation.
we end up today, I believe we will have a new and higher support level for the sp, having broken through 150p. Which is great news For when the RNS lands.
Thank you, Matt Hankypants. Can’t normally bear the fellow, but today I love him just a little.
I too detected irritation in this RNS, and it’s hardly surprising given the amount of intense speculation which ensued from the information on the Medusa website. I think it was clear to those who did a little digging that it was an antibody test and in no way associated with Avacta, though I concede it was badly written and left matters open to said speculation.
However, given the astute businessman Alistair Smith has proven himself to be, I’m sure he will be attending to this behind the scenes, while he juggles everything else which is coming to fruition.
In the meantime, let’s focus on the main event, otherwise this becomes an example of British journalism at its’ best- taking something that is 99% amazing and bashing the hell out of it for the 1% which isn’t.
Nothing has changed, we are still on course for the fantastic news re BAMS and LFD- when appropriate!!
Thanks CO. He also registered a consulting company at the same time, but that may well be unconnected.
It seems highly probable to me that this is an antibody test (albeit saliva based) and is therefore not competition, just another strand of distribution for Medusa.
