Have been topping up at these prices.
Expecting a JV announcement soon on a number of RDF plants - will be good to have a push on something other than Aviation - hopefully some work for Civils on the Construction of them too!
strange that an RNS announced at 13:30 hasn't made it's way on to LSE by 13:57.
anyone know who the beneficiary is of the newly issued shares?
TBTT - my thoughts exactly.
He tried to appoint Philip Day as CEO of Stobart, a Dubai based (but from Carlisle like Tinkler) retail billionaire - he's also close pals with Neil Woodford. He will have access to lots of funds well beyond his wealth.
This guy doesn't just by 10% of a business as an "investment". I can't remember what he invested here, £1M, £1.5M at around 2p?? If he bids say 10p, his £1M becomes worth £5M, he picks up the business for effectively only £5M and he is made out to be the good guy with Shareholders.
As for them getting back the crown jewels, that's the big risk - I am no legal expert so I don't know what can / can't be achieved but obviously, without them, he's stuck.
They question I don't know the answer to is why this is trading above the offer price if the crown jewels have gone
wonder what he's got planned with the money he's just got from selling Stobart shares - a cheeky counter bid here???
Morning all.
I’ve been watching from afar - is this a done deal or is there still scope for another offer? If so, is that why it us trading above the offer price of 1p?
Have they moved this to a standard listing just to avoid shareholder approval.
Am tempted to have a (very) small punt here as I don’t think we’ve had the last offer - someone must surely see the bargain of picking this company up for a few million?
I got one from Halifax the other day, presume they're just automated x no of days after a share is suspended and you've just purely coincidentally got yours today of all days
Just waking up to the news that Tinkler has made a substantial acquisition here.
I haven't trawled back through all the posts here today so apologies if this has already been mentioned but Tinkler and Stobart were in Court last year and a Verdict is due in January - the way the case went (Stobart withdrew one Claim against him) it looks like Tinkler will win. What does that mean, well, it will mean that the vote to keep the Stobart Chairman will be null and void and it will surely cause the BOD to have to question their position, Tinkler will be reinstated and he will have control again.
How would that change, well, if the BOD have some good news, a "bargain" takeover of Flybe - they could demonstrate success without Tinkler and it may save their futures.
As for Tinkler, what's best, Stobart not buying Flybe - a "failed" takeover, Stobart being run by incompetent BOD, opens the door for him to get back at the helm of Stobart. Wouldn't surprise me if he is in cahoots with another bidder and stands to make a few £££ out of his stake here.
I'm not jumping in here, too much of a risk for me but wouldn't surprise me if this gets back up close to double digits. I'll sit and watch and hope that LTHs can get back some of what they lost last week.
so what is everyone making of Tinkler acquiring 10% of Flybe this morning?
Is he taking a massive risk that Stobart's offer of 1p is accepted or is he aware that there is another offer coming to the table and fancy making a quick buck or maybe, just maybe "when" he wins his court case, he doesn't want Stobart to have acquired Flybe and the Board to prove to Shareholders that they can run a successful business without him.
thanks all :)
I see KIBO have just announced a Collaboration Agreement with GE - to those more knowledgeable, what could that mean for NCCL?
Wonderman, if you've sold out this morning for c7-7.2p and you're suggesting that this will fall to 5p, why do you declare NCCL a "hold" - you've actually gone to the trouble of changing the Opinion from the default.
Perhaps you're more interested in promoting another share or trying to make wildly unsupported price predictions.
The delay is frustrating but it happens in business and with multiple parties involved in the deal, as well as the Moz Government, it can't be helped.
just had another "final" top up - they are getting smaller and this one really is it!!
Nice little tweet by NCCL directly referencing ‘power generation will remain a key business for the new GE’. Are NCCL tweeting about GE if this deal isn’t happening!!!!
STB - there doesn't have to be an end game, you can simply sell at an amount you're happy with or that's how I look at it.
The £5k I put in today is money that was set aside for some work at home, if I can double it in a few weeks, I'll sell half and have a free run with the rest and be happy - the rest of my shares will stay longer until we hopefully reach a point where I'm happy with the return, where I believe there are better returns elsewhere or where I need the cash but as I type, I'm happy waiting medium term here as I think the potential upside is huge.
just picked up another 62K - be rude not to at these prices!!
yes, news can drop any time now :))))))
got in at 8.95 - higher than I wanted but at least I'm in for some more (already held)
complete NT on Halifax on anything other larger than £1K.
Have put a £10K buy order in, fingers crossed.
Compass, spot on. The Board may try to buy out Tinkler but Woodford and Jenkinson won’t stay without him. That’s 1/3rd of the Company........
Rooster If someone chooses to invest in a Fund, it is often, but not always, because they don’t have the time or experience to select their own investments. Managers don’t ask which shares ro hold let alone seek investors input on company strategy. It’s interesting in tonight’s RNS that the Board are going to reach out to large shareholders, other than Tinkler who it looks like they’re going to try and buy out. I wonder what Tinkler’s next move is? Woodford, Tinkler and Day to buy the co??
