I'm still pretty relaxed here. People do need to understand that everything about VELA is slow burn and it's a medium-long term prospect. The RNS was excellent but the market wants the commercialisation meat on the bone which is understandable. We have IPOs to come in, still two tranches of a **** load of warrants at the next couple of levels. The idea is to build a monster slowly through seed capital and long term thinking. Trust the management here and dig in for the long haul, otherwise you are in the wrong share.
Promised myself that I wouldn't but dissolved another position 10 minutes ago to top up a little at 0.105. As far as I'm concerned the only nervy and binary bit of the potential news flow is out of the way now.
Probably everything is true: 'MMs holding it back', 'Big background buyers', 'Pump and dumpers, dumping', etc etc. We are 62% up on the month, 20% up on the week, with the newsflow to come we ain't ever going back below my average. I've been waiting a year, I can wait longer for the next big bumps up. VELA has lots of irons in the fire, this one is just the first to get red hot (second actually, see KNB)
You could be right Mark, huge if true.
I honestly feel like I can relax now. VELA is not a one trick pony or a binary play, but that was an excellent result on our biggest deal to date. It's all income for an investment company run by the very best. If you are new here take a look at the cash position and other investments. Set your mind to dreaming about what James Normand will do now with this income stream, like I am. Is 0.11 the new 0.075? I doubt it but either way it's happy days, skepticism set to snooze, I'm bedding in for a long slow build.
I love it when a plan comes together. Great result today, just sit back for a couple of weeks and let it all play out. Price action today fairly predictable, the short to medium term looks rosy, the long term very rosy indeed.
All getting a bit tetchy and sketchy here I see. As to be expected sadly. Just remember why you invested in the first place and trust yourself, that's what I'm going with anyway.
I'm switching off too, no way am I out before Monday. I'm at a wedding that day so I've set a part sell order for 0.33 and left it at that. If it all goes tits up I'll be seeing where it ends up for an average down (from 0.75) if possible for the medium/long term recovery play. I've got a lot of faith in JN to deliver over time.
I don't think that you can ever take the AIM factor out of it short term BD
Maybe only one bag on great news, there are 2 more tranches of warrants to take out higher up. BUT if this ever gets stable at the 0.2-.03 range and JN has all that lovely cash to play with, well then...
I feel it in my bones today. Finish at 0.1 or above.
Still progressing and I'm a lot happier in this range. Be interesting to see what happens beyond the first warrant expiry date, I'll expect to see another RNS on options exercised. Roll on next week.
That's roughly £2m available for investment then.
A great week for us. Exciting times ahead. Enjoy 3 days off everyone.
Morning Ex. Nothing is a given, but I'm a little more than hopeful here. I do have a little beer money in AMGO for old times sake but it's as binary as ever. I feel that here if we get poor news on the 6th I'll simply double down whereas AMGO is death or glory. That's enough cross ramping tho.
Long enough and I've been in VELA since the week JN was appointed, it's my largest holding by some margin. I've said my piece already, SP is holding well throughout this current churn so it's all good in my book.
My apologies Muck165, it is a good question. I've been rather intolerant today.

Actually, 'TheTruth' I usually encourage everyone to play nicely but the whinging about warrants is starting to grind my gears. As far as I can see you first posted here (and probably bought in) this month. Most of us have watched the SP languish in the dullest range for the last 6 months despite increasingly promising news. The large number of warrants has always been a known quantity. Now, moving into a news drop we are 25%+ up in a week whilst absorbing dilution, with huge volume and gaining cash for the war chest. Did you think you were simply hopping on a rocket? This is a stunning long term prospect in my view but some patience may be required.
I think you need to be a bit more sanguine about the warrants, they are all part of the corporate structure. There in black and white if you do your DD. It's all money into the investment coffers and actually the SP is holding up remarkably well I think. One day they'll all be washed through and we will be much stronger for it.
