The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
99% will only get mild symptoms if they do catch it. And we also have two vaccines being given out to the most vulnerable. We are in tier4 yet my bus in south east London was very busy yesterday, i give up trying to stick to the 30 passenger loadings rule.
I had a top up today as a little early Christmas present to myself. At this price I couldn't resist.
I brought these back in July 2013 for 49p per share. Looks like my patience is finally getting rewarded. GLA
Another nice broker upgrade today
BANK OF AMERICA RAISES STAGECOACH PRICE TARGET TO 95 (80) PENCE - 'BUY'
Clairesmith
As you have been so kind to take time out of your busy life and to give us all your worldly knowledge on SCG for free I think it is only right that i return the favour. In case you haven't noticed the whole of the UK markets are down today on fears of a no deal Brexit. So the drop in SGC SP today has factored in a no deal scenario so if we don't get a deal the SP will not fall much more, but if we do get a deal which is very likely, then the SP will bonce back up. So I strongly advice you not to wait but to buy now as you will never see this share price this low again in your life time. Your welcome.
DEUTSCHE BANK RAISES STAGECOACH PRICE TARGET TO 86 (72) PENCE - 'BUY'
I am all for that
Looks like patience is finally paying off
GOG up 8% too. Perhaps institutional investors have finally realised what a bargain price these shares are.
(Sharecast News) - HSBC downgraded its stance on FirstGroup on Wednesday, but lifted its ratings on Go-Ahead and Stagecoach as it took a look at UK bus and rail operators.
The bank, which upgraded both Stagecoach and Go-Ahead to 'buy' from 'hold', said the sector is extremely cheap. "The sector has been here three times before and it's rebounded," HSBC said.
"It's true that some verticals (eg UK bus) could take time to see a recovery, but they are being underpinned by government support which we expect to remain until the sector returns to profit.
HSBC RAISES STAGECOACH TO 'BUY' ('HOLD') - TARGET 60 (125) PENCE
How predictable. The SP is down today so the de-rampers are back. Lol
De-rampers are very quiet today ??
Scotland the home of Stagecoach. I am pleased that reginal areas are getting busier too.
As i have mentioned before i am a Stagecoach driver for a south east London garage. You probably know about the every other bus is a school bus in peak times system that TFL has just started, so just a quick update. Us drivers knew this would never work as we have no authority to stop the school kids or adults from getting on either bus. Well i tried today in vain and ended up with a full bus load of children and adults, even having people standing on the lower deck which is against social distancing on buses. As a bus driver not very happy, but as a share holder i am glad to see things returning to normal. It may take a year before things really improve but i am in these for another 5 years when i retire.
Why don't you go back to the play ground and join the other children
With the children going back to school next week, that will free up parents who couldn't get child minders to return to work. MPs are leading by example by returning to parliament so hopefully many city workers will return too. I am a bus driver 59 years of age with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure and have had to work through all this just like the shop workers and van delivery drivers and can't understand why anyone under 40 in good health was ever furloughed in the first place. Rant over, just saying things are looking to return to near normal on the buses soon, imo of course.
Extra buses and school service prioritisation from September
We are committed to helping London's schools reopen safely in September 2020. Around 250,000 school children use London's buses to get to and from school. So, from 1 September until the end of October 2020 we're planning to add over 200 extra buses to the network.
We're also planning to prioritise some of our bus services for school travel. Government guidance allows for all seats to be occupied on these 'school services', doubling their capacity, which is currently limited due to necessary social distancing.
These 'school services' will be clearly signed and are planned to operate on:
• 600-numbered school routes
• Some of our busiest high-frequency routes in both the AM and PM peak
• On certain low-frequency routes which we forecast to have a demand that exceeds the current capacity of buses.
We ask that schoolchildren travelling without adult's travel on the designated school services where these are provided, in order to help ensure space for customers on other services.
We will continually review how our network is operating to ensure our approach is working and meeting demand as best as possible. Check this page regularly for the latest information on our services and safer travel guidance.
By doing all of this we will help increase capacity and free up other buses for other customers including your staff, and also help enable London's young people to make safe and reliable journeys to and from school.

Its been doing that for the past 3 days, it just doesn't make sense
60,000 sells to 459,000 buys just like yesterday and the SP drops again. I would love to know what little game the MM's are playing with this stock.
