Charles Jillings, CEO of Utilico, energized by strong economic momentum across Latin America. Watch the video here.
Yes, this was a disgraceful float, PI’s had their pockets well and truly picked by early investors.
That story re-Pello rings very true
The only saving grace for me is that , to date, the float cash has not been frittered away or trousered…., having said that, I’d like to see more newsflow from the board, seems like they have other fish to fry atm
Aye, indeed!, but it was very odd to see the uptic yesterday in the face of 3:1 sells to buys. No real buying today either
What do you make of that ?
I bought into Yourgene for the NIPNT and genetic screening, it seems like Covid testing plays ran away with the sp.
Have a look a Sourcebio , they have stunning numbers and are sitting on a massive cash pile from covid testing, however their sp languishes from a high point that was about the same time YG peaked.
I’m happy with the longterm prospects and see beyond the Covid froth, it seems that the market doesn’t and us marking down all “covid plays” similarily
One very important piece of NFT related info is missing here from my initial reading.
When NFTs are minted, the creator can assign a recurring % of all future resale values that will automatically revert to the NFT originator , it can be 5% it can be 50% , it is baked into the smart contract associated with the NFT at creation by the creator.
My question is this. Are 7 Digital going to be the creator and original owner of these NFTs or are they simply going to act like an exchange for NFTs created and owned by the artist ?
If 7Digital are the creators/original owners , there is potential for a future (albeit lumpy and unpredictable ) revenue stream every time one of these change hands for money.
If an NFT becomes desirable and is bid to a high price this potential could become significant over time.
A niggling question I would love to have an answer to
Deffo good to see buyers …..
Same, Chazza, no quote available on AJ Bell
My worry is that the £35mill float capital may be siphoned off over time leaving little residual value
I can only agree MonkFish.
I’m going to sit tight now and hope the management deliver the goods, right now it’s looking like a scam facilitated (unwittingly) by the low bar for acceptable behaviour that AQUIS exchange have set
PokerChips, it is a bit grimmer than that, as 100million of those 300million were issued at 0.1p
Aye, bakky and LondonMarket, I agree, covid us not gone and variants will be a hot button topic. I can also see the multi year need for testing, CDC across the pond handing out 5yr deals.
Just to play devils advocate, I can also see proliferating competition and few barriers to entry ( barring lack of lab consumables...lol!).
I’m in Yourgene for the NIPNT and the chemo screening, just wondering how many holders are here for covid boosts and what the effect of their changing sentiment may be.
Frankly I’m perplexed by the weakness in the face of a positive news stream... is the market that spooked by the international sales to hospitals who are flat out with “business NOT as normal”
I’m in SourceBio too and they have also drifted recently, despite good news. Can’t help wondering if market money is moving out of “covid-plays” in general seeing as we are learning to cope and the view may be that we are nearer the end than the beginning.
PI’s seem bullish enough, but is the real money sloshing to other pastures??
I bought on AJ Bell on launch day and also bought more today.
Haha!, Pluto can invest in NFT Investments ... lol!, I hear spurs jangling. Wonder will they do the sell shares for 1p and list at 5p trick again??.
Here’s a trick, Pluto money pumps NFT Inv, seeds a hype surge and inside money exits at a profit.... reads like a Jeffery Archer novel doesn’t it
Is there even a TR1 on AQUIS?
When you create an NFT Pedrobull, you have to pay gas fees in Eth. When I last watched a youtube vid on doing that I think Eth was $1200ish and the fee was about $60.
That is a one-off.
About Beeple etc selling, yup they get the price less the exchange fee, but when when you sell the NFT on again, they also get a % of that depending on the % they set into the NFT at creation, and they get that at each and every sale.
Other than those costs ie. one off creation cost, the exchange fee and the makers % and exchange fee on subsequent resales , I don’t think there are other costs.
OK for the sake of correcting my thinking and canvasing opinion I’d like to ask what may be a silly question and also check my info.
I believe that 193million shares were placed at 1p prior to the 3x oversubscribed placing at 5p.I read this here and I’ll confess to not fact checking, tell me if I’m wrong
If this was the case, isn’t it a foregone conclusion that the 1p holder(s) will bail asap on listing to reap easy profits?
Is that what is happening ?
Were they not given 3.5p for 1p.
Where are the ppl who x3 oversubscribed?, why have they not surfaced as buyers on listing?
I took a punt ( deff a punt this one) shortly after open , paid 6p, I bought more at 5p, and I am inclined to buy more if it touches 3.5p.
As I said, a punt , all the more-so because what I have seen since Friday has put me off AQUIS for life. All this listing needed was a bandana, pistol and tricorne hat to complete the picture.
My concern now is that the listing was such a shambles that even hype chasers will shun this share as it reeks of underhand shennagins
Hi Pedrobull, I see it this way , but am happy to be corrected if wrong.
Like anything sold via an exchange, the buyer pays the seller and the exchange takes a fee, possibly a spread, or a % or both.
The significant difference with NFTs is that the creator can stipulate a % of the sale price that they will receive each time the NFT changes hands
Thanks for the info, I didn’t know about the 1p placing, and that is totally my bad.
This explains where the sellers are surfacing from, the holders of those 193m 1p shares have been given a free dip into PI pockets....why were they not locked in??
Fingers crossed Roley, can’t help wondering if todays debacle will dampen sentiment .
Just bought on AJ Bell, could also buy (unfortunately) this morning at about 8:15.
I’m averaging down, not ideal, but given that this is a speculative punt on NFT’s and they still have all of their powder dry, I’m literally gambling on some sort of announcement stream lifting the price.
Pretty poor show all in all though, obviously some early investors cashing out, I can only assume they got theirs for less than 5p???
