The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
How strange bought EDG around 9p in my sipp ages ago and nearly sold glad I didn't but now the dilemma of when to sell it never ends this playing with your mind here on aim, although I admit a much nicer dilemma but your right you just don't know many stocks fall to epic lows only to substantially rise could do the same here.gla
The more I think about it the future involvement of another company may well be what's going on here it would explain today's news.Boris said he was pursuing more than one company and we also no he likes to dominate the markets he is in and to achieve scale ,maybe another rns shortly explaining what persuaded the board to allow him such a stake.
I sold some time ago with a small loss but your average is very high so really not sure on the money your talking.I sold because it became so confusing to spot the value here, however remember this is aim the craziest market there is and anything is possible,I've done what you suggest in the past with other stocks only to find that what I sold, substantially rose and what I bought fell and I no AZO is not benefiting from it but oilers are in vogue so I might stay put if I was you and hope if it carries on this gets carried along it is possible.gl ps remember it's your choice this just an opinion as to what I would do.
I'm sure he can still make a bid before then with the permission of the company and the takeovers panel, under the rules I'm sure he is not allowed to up his stake during the period but has so it must have been agreed but like I said not totally sure, excuse the pun, like I said who knows what's going on here you could be right it's all speculative but going in the right direction and I certainly wouldn't be selling now, certain risks have been taken off the table.
Realistically any offer made for the entire share capital would be made this year to avoid paying a much higher price. You do have to ask though what's really going on here! If Boris made a low ball offer and it was rejected and he walked, why give him another chunk at 15p and I wouldn't at all be surprised if the Infina stake was his as well ,one things for sure now the shares are very tightly held whatever's going on.
Morning,LS,think this is going to really get moving over the next few months can't believe a few sells with that news,Boris is obviously a new source of finance for the company and a new lease of life.gl
This news makes snak a much safer bet going forward .It might not of been the expected news but it is good news,a few other vending companies may well be worried with this guys technology and track record.
You just couldn't make it up could you,new somthing was going on this should start to move this share in the right direction.
I have know opinion here before anyone starts with the troll accusations, given the recent large falls took a look to see if it was worth a punt.I have looked at ,advfn posts as well as here and yesterday there was an interesting post, that has since been removed stating a certain brokerage was selling these shares to clients although they have changed their name a few times they have been well known in the past for selling shares that later substantial fall, perhaps this explains what is partly going on here whether this is finished given the substantial drop and this is now a buying opportunity I really don't know!gl
I have long held the belief that only certain parts of the vending business are attractive to any potential bidders, namely the London operation as you suggest however I didn't know it largely carried the company as a whole with regard to vending. If you look at the segmental part of the accounts it clearly shows,Drinkmaster making a substantial profit after ebitda and vending a substantial loss.Your post throws up an important question, why sell Drinkmaster!why not sell most of the vending apart from simply drinks and any other high yielding parts, you would then have a business ,generating around 1 million after ebitda surely, although revenue would be vastly reduced, profits would be substantial, what are your thoughts and ideas as to this company moving forward ?
The 10k was a buy and 12,20 price being paid today makes me think that some kind of news on the way but although Drinkmaster sale would reduce debt it would also have a huge impact going forward ,remember it's the only part of this business that makes money. The npv of Drinkmaster I'm sure is on the books at over £4 mill,so if sold the market will look closely at what they get.I still don't get why the takeover didn't take place even a low ball offer at,18-20p,would have given the same value if there selling off the company in pieces.
Obviously those sells are buys is somthing happening in the background here?
Well for this stock anyway does somebody know something maybe?
Yes this shares performance has been dire to say the least and why the rumoured 24p take out price wasn't welcomed by the board I will never know! However Boris is still here and now Infina at 3% mostly at 16p.In my opinion the company will only ever be successful in private hands and in the background something still going on maybe, hence the spread and also I would say 90% of aim companies should be taken off the market but then where would the mms make their money?gl
Yes it does dosent it buy now while you have the chance!
Agreed, but the question here is what they get for Drinkmaster?it makes a sizeable contribution to both profits and nav and I do question whether we should keep this and sell the rest!
Hi mate, yes I do know there was an rns read the posts again!I still don't think the Australian market warmed to the deal.
Impressions can obviously be misleading and why hasn't Rol risen in Australia if this is such great news, seems curious?
A very important question going forward here is what is Drinkmaster really worth?its on the book nav is around 4.7m with a profit of arround let's say £420 000pa so what do you think!
I have never thought this was going to hit anywhere near the valuations that have been suggested here but at a certain level a stock becomes to cheap and it's at that point again here.Moving forward I think we will see a further reduction in revenue but an increase in profit as we lose those parts of the business that fail to make a good enough return and inturn further reduce costs .I do see a small profit this year and one that will be built on,take a good look around at aim and you might not think this companies that bad it at least has the revenue and not blind hope and the2013 loss will not be replicated a sensible value was given,so well worth a punt!
