An LNG terminal with a capacity of 7 bcm/year is planned in the Jorf Lasfar region. The terminal could be commissioned in 2025 and the bid process is on-going. The project would require US$2bn (US$600m to build the jetty, US$800m for the terminal and US$600m for related gas pipelines).

ONYHM has awarded five exploration licences to international companies, which have been allowed to drill for better estimations of shale gas reserves in Morocco. Explorations are ongoing and two significant deposits were discovered: the Timedhit deposit, in the Middle Atlas Chain, where reserves are estimated at 42 Mt (around 15 Gbl of oil in place) and the Tarfaya deposit, on the Atlantic coast, where reserves are estimated at 80 Gt of shale oil (containing 22 Gbl of oil in place).

natgas at 2 year highs can see it moving up to 11p this week

Thanks inter zone, it may be useful to know that we can also get debt funding on the actual asset purchase similar to accugas deal, as 97% of the accugas deal was funding against the asset and is non recourse to Savannah energy. I am guessing we may be looking at similar deals where we get the funding to acquire an asset and offset it against the asset. We should hear really soon I believe the trail is there it’s about connecting the dots, definitely a deal this side of the year may be some initial news in a few weeks

Clearly an acquisition is on the cards wouldn’t surprise me if it’s another gas project which we can tie into our existing infrastructure news could land shortly.

Looking for a strong week next week savannah and accuses getting some press. Looks like new deals could be on the cards.

The country aimed to produce an additional 90 000 bbl/d in 2021 with the discovery of a new oil basin on the border between Nigeria and Algeria.

In 2014, Niger awarded a production-sharing contract to UK-based firm Savannah Petroleum. Drilling contracts were signed in 2017 and the company announced four oil discoveries and pathways for their monetisation through both domestic and export sales.

The commissioning of new crude oil pipelines will enable the country to export crude oil to raise production levels.

Niger has signed an agreement with Benin for the construction of an oil pipeline linking the Agadem oil fields to the port of Cotonou to facilitate the export of crude oil. CNPC and WAPCO (West African Oil Pipeline Company) have undertaken the realization of the pipeline, which requires an investment of nearly US$4bn with around US$1bn financed by the CNPC. The work started in September 2019 and should be operational in January 2022. This pipeline was preferred over the originally planned pipe to the port of Kribi in Cameroon via Chad.

There was also talk of a new venture with our cash position, they did say that they were reviewing other opportunities.
