@ Flundra.
You see, when I was a kid, I remember my mum stuffing newspapers behind the pipe in the outside bog in our yard.
Sadly now though, those same newspapers are full of sheet before they even get there these days.
@ Green555.
I'm not in ITV myself, but I just happened on a comment that showed up on the latest share chat thing earlier.
Being the nosey bug ger that I sometimes am, my curiosity got the better of me so I clicked on it to see what it was, that was when I noticed the RNS. That's how I knew about that after glancing through it.
Which goes to show, that on a LfL set of results, 5.5p here I possible.
@Green555.
I think that based on your numbers of £200m, your forecast of 2p a share in dividends to be on the conservative side.
ITV have today released their annual report, and on the same set of figures, they're announcing a final dividend of 3p per share. They pay a divvi twice a year which apparently adds up to 5.5p per share over the course of the year.
Based on that logic, I'd say that a total of 4p a share here over the same kind of timeframe not to be unreasonable.
@ Green555 It's a good update. Very good. Your points are all plausible possibilities, which sounds good. Unless of course they spend that extra money on a mini shopping spree.
I was in this share years ago when the share price sank to 3p each, and was up and down like a Hooker's handbag, and sold out out of frustration. I did buy back in again a few years ago as I (perhaps shouldn't have) a bit of a soft spot for this one. But I'm very happy to be back in as they're now in a better position than they were back then. I'm happy to hold here.
Up until I took a punt here, I had generally swerved mining shares like the plague, as I know naff all about the sector.
But I did see some logic into looking into lithium, believing that investing a few pounds had some merit. Batteries for EV's and the suchlike seemed like a good idea, as long as I wasn't expecting to make a quick profit. I'm still holding that view.
I've only got just over £1000 invested here with a modest (by some standards of other holders here) with currently just over 37,000 shares. I'm happy to sit and wait for this one, as I'm not really in any hurry to collect my rewards.
Very true, Warrie.
We generally swerve Laganas, we only go near the place when we are passing through on our way to the Aristeon Olive Oil museum in Lithakia.
Kalamaki is our usual weapon of choice when we go over there. It's just far enough from the place where we don't see much of Laganas. I find that those who like it in Laganas generally don't venture too far off the beaten track the place offers. Still. We all like what we like don't we?
Yes, Zante Town is one of my favourite places. It's certainly high up in my top 5 places to be.
We generally hit Kalamaki, and often visit Zante Town for a trip out while there. I've got 8 photos of the place put on canvas in our living room. Got a cracking view of the place taken from Bochili as well. A cracking place.
Forgive my intrusion Neil, but I noticed your post about Zakynthos Town. I've been there many times. I've walked from the harbour up to St.Denis church more times than I care to count. It's a lovely place.
@Pernix. Indeed. But someone signed off on it tbf. I get that it will have been recorded long before all this nonsense kicked off, but still.
As you say, it'll blow over, and with the way of the world today this will be fish & chip wrapping when the "I'm offended" brigade have found something else to have a bit of a whine about.
Talk about being fickle.
@Pernix. Agree with most of what you said with the exception of your M&S bit.
They've peaced a lot of people off over their Christmas ad and if half of those are serious about boycotting them, then their sales are gonna plummet.
Not that that effects us on that front though IMO, as all they'll do is pick up that food they were gonna buy from them elsewhere, Morrisons, Tesco etc.
