Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I’d like to think that they have’nt put out an update on the JV because going to be announced in the next few days/weeks; perhaps to coincide with COP28 (miraculous timing) - but then again probably just wishful thinking on my part.
The following paragraph is contained within the description for latest job advertisement for a "Buyer".
"You will work as part of a cross-functional, highly motivated, dynamic, and rapidly growing team of individuals to develop and produce hydrogen-flying solutions and fuel cell systems."
I guess some will see this as a positive that the company is looking to develop "hydrogen flying solutions" - presumably for firms such as Zero Avia -- whilst others will see it as a negative due to going off on a tangent with more development rather than concentrating on getting existing products to market.
Incidentally 45 applications for the job so far !
ABB are holding an ‘update event’ on ‘ The future of efficient and sustainable data centres’ on 28th and 29th March.
This has been liked by RK on LinkedIn.
Desperate I know but if we’re to feature in ABB data centres going forward hopefully we’ll get some more info as to what’s going on next week?
It appears as though the MW fuel cell was supplied to ENOWA by ENERGYS Australia and not Kaizen.
It was a PEM fuel cell run on green hydrogen supplied by ENOWA and it appears as though ENOWA will be using their systems for other applications in the future. Although AFC seem to be out of the picture as far as Extreme E is concerned, hopefully we will still have an 'iron in the fire' with Enowa.
RK has just posted the a very positive update on LinkedIn including the following :-
Our clean energy fuel cell solutions utilize a range of fuels (hydrogen, bio-ammonia, and bio-methanol) to offer best-in-class performance and the lowest operating cost alternatives to industrial diesel generators and the use of heavy fuel oil. We are supporting customer in industries such as data centers, telecoms, construction, maritime, EV charging, and stationary and mobile applications (to name a few small ones :)).
I am so excited to be joining this dynamic and innovative company which is, as we speak, expanding its manufacturing footprint at its location in Cranleigh (Dunsfold Park), where they have been very busy in the last two decades designing, building, testing and refining their fuel cell technology to meet today's requirements and futures demand.
Looks fairly positive to me!
Danel TURK - ABB - latest Linkedin post - 'Next week we will be participating London DCW event.
This will be absolutely exciting event as we will show there our latest offering to the segment . We will have product intros using latest technologies. We will have 2 sessions to cover 2 most important topics in the year 2023: sustainability and cooling'
AB has liked this post - here's hoping AFC will have a product intro!
A new job vacancy has appeared on the website inviting applications for the role of 'Commissioning Technician'.
Not exactly sure when this was posted but I don't recall seeing it there a few days ago.
Fingers crossed that the successful candidate will be kept very busy !
Miguel ( Acciona) latest post on LI :
The site compound was a typical medium size one for a road construction project and it was composed by 2 lunch huts, 1 sanitary hut, 1 on-site lab hut, 2 office huts and 2 dressing huts.
The H-Power Tower replaced completely a 30 kVA diesel gen-set for 2 and half months and provided more than 530 hours of on-site operational service, saving more than 1.000 liters of fossil fuel in this short period of time and avoiding the emission of more than 3 Tons of CO2.
And, of couse, I am not going to disclose in this forum actual fuel energy cost data (€/kWh produced) for this specific case use of both solutions ( diesel and H2 gen-set) but I can ensure you such costs are very much comparable, in spite of being a very early pilot deployment.
By the way, I work for one of these impressed potential AFC Energy's clients.
Best regards
Has anyone information on the link to 'ENSOL' - most vacancies ( less now than a few days ago) on the AFC website prefix the headline description of the role advertised with the word ENSOL.
Ensol appear to be a Canadian company who produce various fuel cell and other power options for remote locations including fuel cells run on methanol.
Heres hoping for a positive update soon.
