All, As I understand it, scrip dividends are subtly different from auto investing dividends. Mostly because there is no commission or stamp duty on scrip, whereas reinvesting costs you these. Also, I spoke to HL a while back .. They told me they do not allow taking scrip dividends (at least not in their SIPP) which seems a bit crappy, but there you go.
Only 50k shares traded over three days, including half decent results. It seems that something spectacular will be needed in order to generate any interest in these shares. My gut feeling is that a buyout might be needed .... Then we have the Brexit issue .. HO in Uk, manufacturing in Spain .. How will that play out? I'm still holding ... But asking myself why!
Unless it is up significantly, I don't think it will have a meaningful effect on the SP. I think it won't rise significantly, until the takeover happens or other significant news. Otherwise it will just tick over until next year's divi declaration. Hope I'm wrong, but there just seems to be no appetite currently for this company or other early stage companies on AIM. It's hard to be patient!
Still shocked at the apparent lack of interest from investors in DKL. Small, high growth, largely doing everything they say they will. They were harshly punished for a drop in oil prices, and therefore not hitting targets for 2015/2016 ... but overall the story seems to be one of successful growth and increasing production .. Leading to the initiation of dividends. I can't understand why there is no appetite for this - actually, it worries me slightly .. What am I missing???
This is standard fare in almost every AGM of every company. I kneed asked a CEO and he explained that it was put in as standard, to allow the company to be proactive if situations arise .. Without the need for an EGM.
.. Not too many buys yet. Not too much chatter on the boards either, suggesting PIs still not interested yet). Hopefully the smart money will take a look ... But that tends to happen slowly. In any case I am still a long way from breaking even (circa 74p).
And the worst part for me is that even this good news has generated no interest. Not even 10,000 shares traded. We need sustained good news item or news of company changing significance to generate interest and push the SP up.
The best part for me, is that the deal is with Novartis. So we are mixing with the big players. Not sure how much revenue this will generate .. Or when it will start to feed through, but nice to get some decent news on progress. One thing I don't quite understand .. And if anyone is reading, maybe they can clarify .. Is this an alternative drug to MX110, does it work in conjunction, or is it something entirely different?
It's a nice puff piece, not least, because it emphasises the good work they are doing to build the company. Now we need more and more of these, to generate some interest in the company. I particularly like the reference to Ghana .. Which was not in the results. Hopefully we can start (another) slow, steady climb.
Rugs, 300k more shares have been sold, compared to buys this morning. It is only going to go one way I'm afraid. Points back to what I said yesterday .. There aren't legions of excited would-be investors, waiting to plough in. I am a believer, and my 250k are staying put, I am hoping that when I retire in about 10 years, Dekel will be generating a good income for me ... but I won't be buying any more .. (Even if I had any more money!)
These are very good results, and Phillo has summed it up perfectly. Unfortunately there is nothing that will cause a significant rerate of the company. No news on Guitry yet, or the takeover in Ghana (though no news is good news on Ghana, so hope they are going forwards still). Divi is as expected, and no mention of a special divi. Which means we can't be considered an income source yet. Growth and earnings are predictable and good ... but no possibility of accelerated earnings. You get what you see, which is good for the medium / long term, but I can't see the SP shooting up unless we get some very favourable coverage .. Or a takeover .. Or Ghana mill happens.

I have an alternative (and slightly pessimistic) view. Dumper dude or dudes or anyone else offloading their shares are perfectly welcome to do so .. As is the case for any share. As I see it, the problem is that there is not enough interest in people buying into the company at the moment. I am a long term holder, and have my full allocation. And most of the names on this BB are, I suspect in the same position. Whilst I am happy with my holding, I have no real interest in adding any more. Further, there are not too many 'excited new posters' on this BB looking at adding. I think the future is bright for Dekel, but unfortunately, I think the prospect look dour, and won't really generate any excitement until something big happens - either a takeover, significant uplift in profits (leading to a significant yield), takeover of the mill in Ghana, a new mill or something of that ilk. I hope the annual results will be the start. One more thing,mi read somewhere (i think on this BB) that the background meant some people did not like / trust the company. I have no idea what that alluded to .. Unless it was the link to Isreal. Does anyone know if it was that, or something else?
Yeah, not looking good. A lot of sales significantly under the price of the last week or so. So someone has changed their mind. I'm guessing results have leaked a bit, and are not as good as we are all hoping. (Of course, someone will probably suggest its MMs 'manipulating so they can get cheap shares!' .. But I don't buy that!!)
