If results are anything to go by similar to their Lionstown drilling assays then we are in for an excellent next week IMO.

Liontown gold drilling completed (29 holes, 1,834m) with first assay results expected May 2025.

Also awarded grant of $162,157 to fast-track drilling at Liontown North.

RC drilling is also scheduled to commence at the Salla and Plateau targets in early June 2025.

We look forward to running these CEl programs in parallel to our shallow gold focussed drilling program at Plateau and Au-Cu focussed first test of Salla."

Expecting good results next week and will bode well for Plateau.

Greece is intensifying its search for critical raw materials by reassessing existing mining sites across the country.

Greece has officially entered the race to secure critical raw materials, stepping up efforts that had already begun informally about a year ago. The country’s National Exploration Program for Critical Raw Materials was recently submitted to the European Commission in Brussels, aligning with the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act.

The Hellenic Survey of Geology and Mineral Exploration (H.S.G.M.E.), as the competent Authority for the execution of Public Mining Research in the country, has submitted a complete, in-depth, and technically excellent National Exploration Programme (NEP) for Critical Raw Materials to the European Commission.

The NEP for Critical Raw Materials Research constitutes the structural basis and the operational framework of the project being implemented by H.S.G.M.E. titled: "Actions for Research & Utilization of Critical Raw Materials to support the Green Deal/Development and the Application of the Circular Economy – CRMs" and is part of Regulation (EU) 2024/1252 of the European Parliament, concerning the establishment of a framework for ensuring a secure and sustainable supply of critical raw materials (Critical Raw Materials Act).

Our interpretation of the geology of the 6Mt @ 3.6g/t AuEq Liontown project has recognised a fold in the prospective stratigraphic horizon. The upshot of this work is an untested 3km stretch of prospective contact with coincident IP, EM and geochemical anomalism. The grant will cover the first ever diamond drilling of the northern contact to refine targeting models.

Gold assay results plus permit for Greece coming this month. I’m expecting a JV for Greece too. Germanium highly sought after. Rockfire has had plenty of time to place since the General Meeting 2 months ago. I just can’t see them placing down here at a discount and instead a JV coming for their Greek project.

Greece to Become Key Player in EU’s Critical Raw Materials Supply

The EU largely depends on critical raw material imports from countries outside the Union, with China, Turkey, and South Africa being the main suppliers.

Rockfire Resources, which operates mining projects in the Molaoi area of Laconia, in the Peloponnese, has detected the presence of germanium, one of the world’s rarest critical metals.

In March of last year, the EU introduced a European regulation in response to the growing demand for rare earths and critical raw materials, expected to increase in the coming years. This includes materials like magnesium, aluminum, copper, nickel, manganese, gallium, germanium, lithium, antimony and many more.

A total of 34 raw materials were classified as critical due to the projected surge in demand for them by 2050.

Article 22 of the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRM Act) provides for the reporting of Member States' strategic stocks of strategic raw materials (SRM).

Article 23 of the CRM Act provides for the coordination of those strategic stocks by the Commission with the support of the CRM Board.

Expecting news regarding germanium to come from this and how the EU plans to deal with their gaps and shortfall.

Commissioner Roswall's keynote address at the 7th EIT Raw Materials Summit “Race to 2030”

Global competition for raw materials has always defined international relations. The struggle for control over raw materials has been a spark for conflict throughout history and continues to be so today.

And now we are witnessing a new race - this time for the critical raw materials - necessary for digitalisation and the green transition.

In the EU, as elsewhere in the world, demand for critical raw materials will skyrocket.

For example, the need for rare earth metals will multiply by 7 and lithium by 20 by 2050.

So your title “Race to 2030” is well fitting. It is a global race against time, not only to get the competitive advantage, but because – in a linear economy – access to critical raw materials will define speed at which we can decarbonise our economies and how competitive we will be.

NATO and the EU have released lists of raw materials that are critical for defence purposes and technological resilience.

Copper and germanium are classified as strategic raw materials by the EU, which has a 17% and 42% reliance on imports for each, respectively.

What are the possible policy responses?

To mitigate supply risks, the EU is making efforts to promote the domestic extraction, processing and recycling of these critical materials.

Critical Raw Materials and European Defence

Across Europe, policymakers have expressed concern over the level of dependence on external suppliers for defence-critical raw materials.

Security of supply issues are of growing concern for defence policymakers. This relates to components, platforms and munitions, but also to the raw materials that are used in manufacturing processes. In recent years, NATO and the European Union have released lists of the raw materials they deem critical, both for defence purposes as well as for broader industrial and technological resilience, as have several European nations.  

NATO has stated that the availability and secure supply of these critical materials is important for ‘NATO’s technological edge and operational readiness’. These concerns are not new, but they have been exacerbated by geopolitics, technology-modernisation imperatives and initiatives across Europe to pursue energy-transition plans.  

Responses to these issues have taken different forms. Governments concerned by supply-chain risk are examining strategies such as diversifying sources of supply, stockpiling, recycling and strengthening domestic production capabilities to reduce overdependence and mitigate demand and pricing shocks.

The EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act pushes governments and industry to identify strategic-raw-materials dependencies and assess vulnerability to supply disruptions.

Only a matter of time until our germanium is on the radar of a big miner…

You are quite right to bring up funding. However I just can’t see them placing at a discount to these levels.

My opinion is that drill permit + financing from a big player will come in tandem as next newsflow.

The longer Rockfire proves up the resource the more expensive it will get for a major to buy the asset. It’s time for them to come in now and secure their place at the table.

This isn’t a conventional mining play. Germanium is highly sought after and the EU will not want to lose this asset to the States or others looking to bolster their critical mineral supplies. 460 million dollars worth at today’s price. This isn’t even looking at zinc value on top of that too.

Political necessity and urgency equals money on the table now IMO and here you go let’s prove up this resource together and EU gets the offtake.

I just can’t see another discounted placing here.

Our asset is highly sought after and financing the project allows the big player to take control of this asset now in a world where germanium is not only scarce but crucial as well in helping the EU obtain their 2030 goal or becoming more self sufficient in regards to critical minerals. Time really is of the essence.

27th of Feb:

Options for directors at 0.25 pence double the mid-market closing price on 21 February, the same day the final payment for acquisition of the Molaoi Asset. RNS was released.

Price has 65 million options as does Hart. They won’t want another low ball placing at these levels. They know where Molaoi is heading and the worth of this asset.

The JORC resource has been significantly expanded:

“As our proposed drill holes are in-fill holes only, the process of approval is expected to be faster than a new application. The market will be informed once this application has been approved and when drilling will commence.”

Once these permits have been secured then it’s all to play for for Rockfire. The market will be informed once this application has been approved and WHEN DRILLING WILL COMMENCE. They seem very certain of drilling commencing as soon as the get the permits as IMO they already have funding sorted out for it with a big player coming in.

All in IMO. I could be wrong but I’m not prepared to sit on the sidelines and wait for a discounted placing that may or may not come when Rockfire has such an important resource on their hands.

Where else can the EU source germanium in Europe? They can’t. Well they have the Belgium project they assigned a strategic project on March 25th but that won’t produce enough. Also the Critical Raw Materials Act specifically states no project can provide 60% or more to the EU so they need more germanium projects. Hence why Rockfire will be highly sought after. Yeah the gold in Australia is a nice bonus but the real play here that will get us the big bucks is germanium. Highly sought after and IMO we are definitely on the radar.

My theory is that the permit delay is because the Greeks want this asset and are currently negotiating with Rockfire about financing.

Give us the permit and let Rockfire to prove it up and sell it on to them later for a lot of money? I can’t see it with a critical material such as germanium.

I personally think negotiations have been ongoing about a a big player investing in the project.

Manipulated drop. I was testing the bid all afternoon and the 6.5 million sell for 0.075 wasn’t an impatient seller. At that time the bid was 0.0815 for my holding which is more than 6.5 million shares.

Seen it time and time again. Drop it on nothing to accumulate shares and sell back to the market higher.

Waiting for the news and the SP will be much healthier.
