What you don’t seem to understand sausage is that it was the conservative government that initiated the main policies for hydrogen storage. Labour are focussed on the netzero angle more, which EPP falls into due to the zero emissions electrification from wind power.

So, despite more fear mongering on your part, it matters little what administration is in government at the time.

Also, I don’t know if you noticed the news today?

With Centrica’s Rough Storage facility at risk of closing, it makes MESH vitally important now and perhaps Centrica and other suitors might seen MESH as a more cost efficient alternative. Have a lovely day 😉

But fear not LastStanding, I have done what you seemingly couldn’t muster the initiative to do and emailed Ben and the team asking them to include confirmation of the drawdown in the next RNS. Wouldnt want you losing sleep over it. (Maybe we can move on to more interesting subjects then Edwood, rather than listening to the same subject wittered on about over and over)

Luckily Sausage, EPP are going to be producing and storing Hydrogen. And I’m sure you’re delighted that the electrolysis process they will use is about to get more efficient and cost effective for EPP.

This week was a hot-bed of activity in the #Hydrogen sector & saw a progressive step change on a number of fronts. As momentum gathers, the hypothetical & conceptual begins to materialise into the real & tangible.

The week started with #EPP @energy_pathways receiving NSTA Licence Operatorship approval for Block 110/4a that includes the Company's Marram Energy Storage Hub project (MESH) & the signing of a subsea engineering service agreement with PDi Ltd @PDi_Ltd (having appointed @Woodplc lead engineering partner last month). HSBC UK has committed multi million pound funding to Hygen Energy to boost the capacity of its green hydrogen production site in Birmingham. Akhil Shah, Relationship Director at @HSBC_UK, remarked, "This deal underscores HSBC UK’s commitment to this emerging sector, supporting the development of new technologies crucial for the transition to a Net Zero economy."

DOE Announces $1.66 Billion Loan Guarantee to Plug Power to Produce & Liquify Clean Hydrogen Fuel. @PlugPowerInc Plug Power will produce & liquify clean hydrogen fuel using innovative American-made electrolyzers, supplying major companies across the U.S.

As the sector gathers momentum, the production & storage of Green Hydrogen promises to be a big mover in 2025.

The industry, despite in its infancy, seems to be gathering momentum.

Deals getting done in the Hydrogen Storage arena, this time for ESSAR with their facility at the heart of the HYNET Cluster which received government funding in October 2024.

Interestingly, HYNET is adjacent to EPP’s MESH project on the North West coast and they also contracted Wood Group to do their engineering.

Great news for #EPP who have received Licence Operatorship approval for Block 110/4a that includes the Company's Marram Energy Storage Hub project (MESH)

CEO Ben Clube:

“We are delighted to announce the NSTA's approval for the Licence Operatorship for Marram Block 110/4a which is an endorsement by Government authorities of our operating capabilities”

This also bodes well for upcoming license approval of the Knox and Lowry gas fields which would triple capacity from 1.5Tw to 4.5Tw. A very positive start to the year.
