DC Hi, Just another point. Even if TW rise to say 198 and ITV rise to 150 you could always do a 25 / 50% sell here and get TW plus the 10.44 divi. You could as I am going to do is buy back ITV later. Both are doing well today. Remember you could also do sells and buy in rungs rather that one lot, say 25% at a time giving you 4 rungs to play with and also reducing risk in 1 time buying or selling. This is what I am personally doing so its not advice. Good luck whatever way you go. They are both good companies as far as I am concerned. TW at 192 and ITV at 144.61 both up. :-) ATB Tom :-))

David Hi, Personally I think that ITV have a larger gap to fill say from 145 back to 200. On the other hand TW has a smaller gap to fill say 189 to 210. It may be a strange way to look at both the shares but they both have been around the 214 mark or above. So my thinking although others may think mad is ITV have a greater chance of a rise up to the end of May than here, but that is only my thinking speaking. For example just look at both after EXDD there is not much difference in either current prices TW has gained from around 186 to 190 ( 4p ) but with a 2.44 divi and ITV from 142 to 144 with a 5.28 divi so not much difference. These are approximate figures just for the example. I am going to give it at least 3/4 weeks before I make the move to sell ITV to top up TW for the brilliant dividend. Both TW and ITV doing ok today without a fall yet !! Hope that helps but as they say dont take this as advice and DYOR. ATB and a good w/e. Tom :-))

Solley Hi, I am going to do the same but will wait as I feel that ITV will have a wee rise in the next 2/3 weeks. Live now 143.85 No matter what ITV SP is by the near end of May I am considering selling 50% or 100% to buy TW for the excellent 10.44 divi. Then Buy back ITV later. Troubles Hi, I sold 50% here @ ( 186.66 ) to buy ITV for the divi ( 5.28 ) so want to buy back as soon as ITV have a wee rise, when that will be who knows, I have around 7 weeks for something good to happen. Even If ITV dont rise I will sell all to buy back TW for the 10.44 pps. then buy ITV back later at a more reasonable price. ATB Tom ;-))

Owls hi, Its only been a few hours since this went Ex divided and as far as I can see the current live price is 143.05 GBX Price decrease 1.87 (1.29%) as I said earlier this time just over a week ago it was 142 so if you include the 5.28 dividend its now worth 1.4833 so is that not bad in seven days. Have a little patience and lets see what happens in the next month or so. This as far as I am concerned is a long term share and should be treated as such. The day trading days with this share have gone at the moment so sit back and wait. Just out of interest did you sell yesterday or hold ? Personally I am pleased that I held and look forward to topping up with the cash from the divi. I will not make another mistake and say the SP will go up or down that is down to the markets. I will guarantee one of the two marks brothers will comment on my post. All I can say is pay no attention to either of them as they do not own any ITV shares. I will give it less that a Minuit before one replies. Best of luck Tom :-))

Windingdown Hi, Look on the bright side as you still have the shares and its only a paper loss ATM. You could have a nice holiday with your Divi and lay on the beach while the share price rises. Good luck and enjoy your cash, well worth it. ATB Tom :-)

For those interested I feel that the SP is holding quite well with the div to be paid soon. If you think of it the SP is back to where we were just 8 days ago but with a 5.28 pps to be paid on 24th May so we have done well in my view. I am sure ITV will get back on its legs soon so as they say hold in there and wait for the tide to turn. GLA Tom :-)
