Copper potential value at Havieron -
Rio are copper centric in the Paterson region – the copper isn’t just an add on for them at Havieron, it’s a compelling reason to mine in and of itself. Combine high grade gold with feasible copper mining grades and all boxes are ticked.
Havieron Description
“Results of forward modelling have defined a primary body approximately 600m x 600m across with a depth extent from 400m to 900m below surface resulting in a potential volume of more than 240,000,000 cubic metres and an estimated mass of more than 650,000,000 tonnes”
650 m tonnes prospective mass, assume average of 0.2% = 1.3 million tonnes
Copper price per tonne – average of $6,000 or £4,600
1.3 million tonnes x £4,600 = £6 Billion
Assuming JORC value in the ground value on proving up at just 5% of this total NPV = £300 million potential in the ground value once Maiden resource estimate gained.
So just the copper potential alone based on forward scale of mineralization modelling and an assumed average 0.2% copper per tonne = Approaching 10 times current market cap.
