Where did you see FTSE down to 6000 as far as I can see its 6686 ????? I very much doubt it will go as low as 6000 as that would be a disaster.

I sincerely hope not we are at 6,694.75 --- minus 227.09 live. I doubt that we will drop to 6000, that would be a disaster imo.

HAT, Your name was not mentioned in my post but you came on to me saying "Who woke up Gollum" who the hell is that ? However you were right, I wonder why ? I was generally talking about you and RTC bickering most of the day. I thought many on here Filtered him. Why don't you so that we don't have to read double nonsense, just go back and read your childish posts between you. I now have two filtered.

Some of the professional brickies spotted this and walked off site if you read the report. A qualified brick layer spotted this fault and after reporting it were told to be quite and carry on, so I am afraid you are wrong with your comment. Its like saying an electrician installed smaller cables than they should, they know "IF" they are proper trades people.

A professional Brick layer knows full well the mix is right or wrong, some of the non professionals now allowed on site get on with what they are told even if they know the mix is poor as they need their job.

As someone said earlier "Where were all the site managers, civil engineers and building inspectors to ensure this type of thing could not happen. When I was on site engineers / site persons in charge of the works were responsible to check this type of poor workmanship before the whole house was built, how could this happen, its a total disgrace.

I sincerely hope that the builders take the site managers / inspectors to task and sack them.

What happened to their surveyors REPORT. One is always advised to have a full report carried out by a professional Building surveyor PRIOR to signing any contracts. How could a surveyor miss this poor mortar ?? it should have hit them in the face straight away. It is very simple to spot this defect, If they missed this major defect SUE them for the total cost.

The signs to look for is sand at the foot of the base brickwork, especially after rain. You will always find a small trace of sand but after sweeping up this should not happen again.

This will be very damaging to us as buyers will be on guard to this problem and will pull out of the purchase. Very bad IMO. :-((

With respect to you as a Chartered Accountant do you really think that the fall in the Housing market is down to "Trump's buffoonery" I would have thought it more likely that the shambles in the market is mainly due to the Brexit negotiations and not DT. What has DT done today to see a 6% rise to the Housing market with most of the general Markets down ???
