Jeeze should have booked a two week hols. What you guys thinking at the moment, anything catching your eye? Sea of red most plances. Easyjet looking good, great numbers recenlty can see it retesting highs of circa 1800p. Would like to get it at 1325p suport line but worried about eboula and the threat of it affecting airlines stocks, we can handle it in europe due to general better cleanliness and healthcare options, but it's just the fear of it that will pummel stocks.
Hey guys some great post over the past few days, kept cool during the recent market simmer down. Hott reminiscing about cheap oil. I'm going to show my youngish age, it was 72p a litre when i started to drive (10 years ago) at Asda mind. Hit double that recently... Bit quiet of late as in rhodes at the moment on hols till sat evening. What week to go. Got my sainsburys target met (240p) luckily not been around to buy :) saw a guy on cnbc last week from saxo saying most of their clients are short tsco to 160p so golden i expect sains to carry on going down. Also buffeft going to sell his tsco?? Hes in big no doubt in the mid 300's i think from memory. Another sunny day in greece bk to the pool. Ohh my contribution tullow oil on the support line i see circa 600p and maybe tcg oil cheap so should help them but no movement unlike easyjet.
Good points especially BAT, but milliband/labour spoke yesterday about raising tax rates on tobacco firms. And sbry's downfall was due to the offer from the qutaries being rejected. Hoping this is just abit of jitters and not the start of a correction, really want fogl to come in. How you doing? Fund selection a defensive one?
Would like to see 240p myself. If the market does pull back perhaps the grocery sector may rise???
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/heres-what-will-happen-to-stocks-before-and-after-rates-rise-2014-09-24?dist=beforebell ohh err ‘In 13 of the 16 times the Fed raised rates [since WWII], the market went into a pullback, correction or bear market’ in the six months before the increases began. Traders by the million worth a watch.
What a dog of a stock feel sorry for the holders. Literraly no good news ever at the mo for them. If that brings SBRY to 240p target i then hey ho.
Howdy peeps, some good discussion of late re the sb info, i will have to copy and paste to look back on. Came across this article earlier, striking similarities across the sector. CHAR chart looks interesting no drill there for a while fundamental wise couple of years but techs look decent. In on xel and blvn 50% down at the minute waiting for the pump... http://www.spreadbetmagazine.com/blog/titan-inv-partners-uk-oil-exploration-production-sector-is-t.html I raised fogl recently, take a look guys even if it is for a shirt term trade if it breaks 28p resistance next week, looking likely imo, im in locked and loaded. May get some sainsburys, cant see shoppers there leaving for lidl/adli myself, too middle class, not the best reason to buy, shame lidl/aldi are private company's...
Called in to the cave!lol Back again, so came to lse homepage to see Tesco come up on the left, thought 'ohh wonder who could be over there stirring up trouble...' Hott and the Scotts. Rain day tomrw and the markets closed! Mehhh Hott what price u in trp at? Been researching that one, drill end of the year for 15% of 250 million barrel field so wont get quite the spike as last drill but kenya onshore is awash with oil. 0.80p to 2p would do.
Really appreciate your response, thanks! Good to hear i'm reading it right. Thanks again and gl with your positions, got to check out tesco's bottom ;)
Tough time for you then ;) never go poor taking poor, i sold my gkp i bought in the 60's @ 83p today target was 85p but got twitchy... Yea things do seem over heated, yep down day tomrw. Yea fogl would appear very close to break out, tight channel but no squeeze. What do techs do you look at for a potential breakout? Came across this video clip earlier on marketwatch site, bull markets got more strides left yet. http://live.wsj.com/video/is-market-excess-nearing-2000-and-2008-levels/BCCA1075-E1CC-4586-8567-F7141D2B6F85.html?mod=WSJ_article_outbrain&obref=obnetwork#!BCCA1075-E1CC-4586-8567-F7141D2B6F85
Good stuff on BBY GS! I've come across FOGL recently, i know another oiler i'm going back to my old days. Been busy trading GKP and LOGP done well ahh there also oil stocks... So FOGL, everyone remember the run up on TRP-TPET- KEA-ROSE etc recently, well FOGL are drilling in the Falkland’s in q1/q2 2015. Five well drill program funded no need to funding, got big partners on board noble and premier oil. I'm building up a stake of 15k looking to double up in the Isa Hott check the techs on this, breakout soon? looking likely what with the way the moving averages are overlapping, RSI abit hot though... 28 to break got orders in for more stock at 26.30 on the hopeful back test of 200 day moving averages. I'm planning on getting in early now and selling on the spuding of the well spike in Q1. No ramp intended as usual, but looks decent imo what with decent support and the fact the heard loves to oil exploration...
Good work on CEY! I thought about buying this morning at 63p missed the chance bought back into LOGP instead.
Good stuff. See that 38p is top of the down trend with peaks on the top trend line in June and April 2014. So going to give it a miss. Been buying GKP @ 6p8 and seelling @ 71p past most the week, so far so good. Had my eye on TUI that seems to be on the move, back to spotting an entrance on TSCO for now.
Hey no worries. Ahh just seen your post which reminded me about POG, and it's upto 38p as i type. Did you get in on the bell?
Making friends on tesco bb i see ;) Im watching that share closely for a sign of the impending breakout, you have raised very valid points re rsi etc just sentiment is a right b*tch in retail at the moment. Hope everyone is winning, hard market. Not in cey bud, havnt been for about a year i think, bagged 10% back in then would of got 100% if i'd held. Gl with ur shorts. What do u make of pog? On the turn? Been busy day trading gkp very volatile at the mo for obvious reasons, on that note i feel awful for the kind souls of iraq, shame that such savagery co-exists.
GKP - Oil field is in kurdistand semi autonomous region ISIS are knocking on the door so to speak. Only trade the stock so quick in and out been bashed down past two weeks. Will check out DS Smith, i remember you got in on latest results and it's tubled since, all the best for the recovery will ahve to check it out. Got my eyes on tsco for a bounce know HOTT was sniffying around too round that, shorters all over it at the mo to.
Nice one! Very interesting. How you getting on GS? making any winnings? Me not so much, i'm think time for a correction, but went and bought some GKP at 70p just now, in for 10% to 20% hopefully. Dam markets a mess volitility is back but mostly on the downside... I only started out in 2009 so missed the crash can only imagine what that was like to watch!
Good to see you all at it still and winning some. I've been quiet for awhile enjoying the weather and market hasn't been performing for me atleast so been sitting on hands watching. Jeeze yea RMG has taken a hit. Bought bk my afren stake this morning at a pound. Read the rns not good but t wipe nearly 40% of bit much imo.
VOD and LLOY are great. Got the top on VOD of late would like 170p or 185p to re-entry myself. Bought smoe GSK @ 1550. Still got my 211p BARCS... HOTT FYI - BLVN 37p remember you saying that was target i got aload @39p... What a day on the markets.... Hope everyones enjoying the sunshine, another warm day in Hampshire today. :) shame about work...
