Dax short to 8000 and ftse short down to 6000? looking likely isn't it. Had an absolute stormer of a night on the down, first time ever trading it on such short period, read it well made £50 on about 7 trades, using £1.00 a point. Best trades, i just knew it would break 16700 before close got out and then got in again at the last minute for the bounce pre close. Europe is all deflation talk at the mo... Hoping to offset my share loses with shorts, just got to find a good entry point on ftse 100. tips?

By dis-connect you mean the dax closing up today and all other europeans and us markets down? Bit odd, why is this? Im not aware bad data from Germany they should be down more right? You have called it right with ur shorts, although shorts are out the window not in Greece anymore ;) Been trading the down on ig past hour around the 16700 level, moving very quick a real eye opener. Bulls and bears fighting it out it would appear. Fair play for holding enq, i had to bail taken a beating at the mo else where not trading stocks just the long termers... Will eye up 83p if it occurs like u said.

Thanks, interesting to know they do ETF's for short positions. I've got an IG account so can short it but was wondering if anyone has. So where is Hott busy counting his winnings from the shorts ;)

Do you trade commodities, i'm considering shorting brent crude if it goes sub $90, mainly as a hedge. Are commodities able to traded this way via technicals?

Not sure why, they put back the an oil field development but not sure that is why it has gone 150p to 90p... Re: tip no problem i owe u couple, hoping it comes of tight stop at 89p. Getting hit on xel at the minute close to 45% happy to hold till development on that one in the isa. at 93p earleir on a t20, overstreching myself at the minute hopefully it comes off. Oil should hopefully find support at $90 a barrel and ENQ has take a bit hit, looks oversold imo? any thoughts?

Easyjet looking good, great numbers recenlty can see it retesting highs of circa 1800p. Would like to get it at 1325p suport line but worried about eboula and the threat of it affecting airlines stocks, we can handle it in europe due to general better cleanliness and healthcare options, but it's just the fear of it that will pummel stocks.

Got my sainsburys target met (240p) luckily not been around to buy :) saw a guy on cnbc last week from saxo saying most of their clients are short tsco to 160p so golden i expect sains to carry on going down. Also buffeft going to sell his tsco?? Hes in big no doubt in the mid 300's i think from memory. Another sunny day in greece bk to the pool. Ohh my contribution tullow oil on the support line i see circa 600p and maybe tcg oil cheap so should help them but no movement unlike easyjet.

Good points especially BAT, but milliband/labour spoke yesterday about raising tax rates on tobacco firms. And sbry's downfall was due to the offer from the qutaries being rejected. Hoping this is just abit of jitters and not the start of a correction, really want fogl to come in. How you doing? Fund selection a defensive one?
