Edison Research put OXB sp at 13.9p per share. See report. http://www.edisoninvestmentresearch.com/serve_pdf.php?d=researchreports&f=OxfordBioMedicaOutlook270715.pdf&first_name=&last_name=&company=&email=
First of all the shares are not free; they are being offered at £9/share, so it will cost you £36 to take up the offer of 4 shares (they will round down from 4.17 to 4). Spark are saying they would open their shares at £10/share but, of course they may decrease, increase or just stay where they are. If the selling price on day one is £10 you'll have made a 10% profit, minus charges etc. So, in terms of is it worth it only you will know that. If you don't take up the offer the shares will just get put into Spark's treasury (you don't get paid anything). Of course you can apply for more shares than those being allocated to you, but it's not guaranteed you'll get them. This is all explained in the offer so, please read it before making your decision. By the way, your 5000 shares will be consolidated on a 1:200 basis (25 shares after consolidation ) and will have an opening SP of £10/share. I guess you could add your allocation of 4 shares to your portfolio of 250 shares and just see how things go.
Sorry to hear about the scale of your losses, kanishka. I've lost out, as well, but not to the extent of your loss. I can appreciate that you want to stay positive about the future of the company and that it might seek to re-list on AIM (in an ideal world we all hope that is the outcome). However, I'm interested in your comment about 'December.' To be honest I don't know whether Maple is actually functioning as a company and is producing anything. As I haven't found any publications about the state of the company do you have any insight into what might be going on? For instance; are they pumping oil? Thanks for any clarity you can bring.
It wasn't SPARK who sold.
Looks as if 10.7million shares were sold today at £1.20/share.
Thanks for the insight......
Does anybody know if MPLE crops have been affected by the floods....?
Good article: http://citywire.co.uk/money/can-biotech-growth-keep-it-up
I would have thought that this RSN would have produced a rise bigger than 0.33%. Surely, this would be at least a 10% rise.
RNS says that Ethanol Companies are in default to the Senior Lenders, but seems to make pains to identify just the ethanol side. Company working with Senior Lenders to determine next steps.
Took a 46% hit on my investment and am glad to be out. I still think the product is great but from reading the last RSN and the ability of the Directors to even acknowledge that shareholders have an interest in the company, I've decided enough is enough. I hope it works out for others but I'm glad to be rid of it.
biotek.......... I sent this e-mail to Oliver Lightwater on 22nd October: I invested in AGM in March and have seen that investment drop by 40%. Other than the pre-close update on 5th September we, small investors, hear nothing about the company and how things are going. I see that the Annual Report is being issued on 5th November so, hopefully, that will contain relevant information. I have to say, that the communication policy of helping small investors understand both the company and technology is appalling and it gives the impression that either you have no interest in those who own the company or you’re still working in the mind-set of a bunch of academics, rather than professional business people. Please don’t tell me that the company is bound by rules of disclosure that means you can say nothing between official releases. I invest in a number of companies who keep their investors interested either with newsletters or webcasts. If you don’t have a formal communications plan can I suggest you create one. I then got this reply....... There is a large amount of published information to assist investors in understanding both our company, technology and strategy. This will shortly be supplemented by the announcement of full year results and related update which is scheduled for 5 November, with the annual report due to be circulated to shareholders later in that month. However, I am sorry that you consider available information to be insufficient. Thanks for your feedback. Rgds Oliver Oliver Lightowlers Chief Financial Officer So I sent this one........ Oliver, thanks for taking the time to reply. When you say that there is a large amount of published information, can you tell me where that might be, other than your website. A few minutes ago I Googled your company name and, other than articles about listing on AIM, the only other piece was in Businessweek on 2nd October 2014. All that did was to say that you’d like to get into the aircraft industry. So, I went onto your website and looked for latest news which turns out to be a piece about a radio broadcast on 9th December 2013. So, not even the piece in Business week is worth noting on your ‘Latest News’ tab. I’m sorry, but this is just not good enough. The company needs to be proactive, especially with small shareholders. Have a look at this link from a company I invest in, that does attempt to keep its shareholders interested…..it might give you some ideas. http://www.rrrplc.com/files/4414/1346/1998/2014_October_16_RRR_Newsletter.pdf I invested in your company because I believe in the product, as distinct from other graphene companies, but I am not happy with the approach Directors take with its investors. My holding is not big enough to make any difference to the SP or to the Directors thinking. But it should be taken note of. But haven't had a reply.......
Is AGM still in business? Lack of any information and the drop in share price seems to suggest that the company hasn't come back from its summer holidays. What's going on?
Graphene Nano had drops yesterday and today. Agm could be a sentiment drop or something else. Not very scientific but, there you go.
22nd September 2014
We have an update......nothing to get too excited about but, there again, nothing to be despondent about, either. The key will be to turn the 'academic/entrepreneurial' setup into a professional company. I guess we'll have to wait until November to see if AGM are capable of doing this.
Got an answer to my question from Juridica.........a date hasn't yet been fixed but they are aiming for mid-September.
On 19th August 2013 JIL posted an RNS for Un-audited half-year results. Where is this years RNS?
We had an interim report on 1st April and bits about Directors share options. Other than that, nothing about how the company is progressing, or otherwise. How is Sean Christie doing? Is he maximising the operational side? Would it be too much to ask for an update? I see that Graphene Nano is putting on a spurt and they appear to keep their shareholders interested by telling them things. Is it too much to ask for?
