Flava, agree with the majority of what you are saying, and aim stocks are definitely not for holding, they are only worth riding these days, but I wouldn't diss long term investments entirely, especially FTSE 100 and 250 stocks, for instance, I'm holding rolls, and whilst I could kick myself for missing the climb when I sold at 96p and it went to £3.50, it has still given me the opportunity to keep the wolf from the door, at certain points, and even buy back more shares when it has dropped, and with the news due, I see it as a keeper for a while yet. All swings and roundabouts, but yes, whilst the market is like it is, it's more of a traders paradise than an investment, and as the saying goes, if you can't beat them, join them! :) Best of luck.

Davey, you can't complain if you want to make money, and isn't that what everyone is here for in every stock they buy? it was easy during covid, the kids were all working from home and thought they'd join in, make a few bucks, but now they are rightly being pressured back in to offices, as they should be, but the market suffers as there's less money floating around so freely. When interest rates start to fall, there will be more enthusiasm again. In the meantime, take what you can get, and don't look a gift horse in the mouth as the saying goes!

It's an aim stock, aim always produced the most dramatic swings, up she goes, down she goes, you just have to time being on the right side, and no one complains when they're on the right side of it and making money, do they? lack of aim regulation means you will always get the rampers and the derampers, but it makes the market. Totally agree, but this is aim listed, and so you cannot rule out market sentiment and the herd. If ECR get their act together and play the PR stunt, it just takes on main cheerleader and an orchestrated buy in and this will surge. There's no proper regulation of aim, so no one gives a hoot, including the FCA, so it just takes a few drivers, and we could be away, but the company have to play ball and capitalise on positive market sentiment when it happens. Eurasia had nothing, it still has nothing, but it went from nothing to 43p! Now if that happened here, I'd pass out! I also lost a lot in the Eurasia debacle because my mind was distracted with something else, and I didn't cash in the million when I was up and put it in a fund, whilst i concentrated on something else, but I was under a huge time constraint with writing a paper, and so my mind was averted, then Putin started the war which we all thought wouldn't happen, and my million fell to half a million on open and then rapidly below. I managed to get out between 16p down to 12p, but it wasn't pretty, and I'm never letting that happen again I hope! I'm sure we all have many stories to tell about our unfortunate losses on the aim merry go round! but, when shares on aim move, they often move at a rapid pace, and tha's what we love them for!

I mentioned the other day that I'm interested to know if we can prove up any lithium? Western Australia has an abundance of it in the rocks, and the Government are eager for it so as to be self sufficient for lithium batteries for electric vehicles. If we have lithium it will be a massive bonus imo.

I certainly agree that sentiment plays a big part, herd mentality is a big factor and was very much evident with eurasia. Most of those that made a fortune on eurasia are now living it up in Dubai probably!

There's still plenty of money sloshing around here in London, plus many of the youngsters managed to reduce their mortgage liabilities substantially during covid, so have more 'free' money floating around. A friend of mine, his son is only 38, and he's managed to pay off most of his mortgage during covid, and next year his home will be his own with his wife, so there is definitely money around, including the likes of those who bummed off to Dubai and are investing tax free! I wish I was one of them, but getting a bit too old now I think sadly, unless I can purloin another toy boy! :)

Patience will pay off in the long run. Trouble is no one holds for more than 5 minutes these days. This is a long hold, but if eurasia could go from nowhere on nothing to 42p, and that was in Russia, and Greatland can rise to 6p on very little, and that is in SW Australia, then at the moment, we are some way behind! We will catch up.

I believe the University of Cambridge one developed prior to this only had a life span of around 20 years, whereas the RUA one is estimated to have a more durable life span which would be quite an advancement. But please feel free to correct me if you know better, and I'm missing something.

Thanks Atisha, the markets are volatile everywhere, that's why at the moment imo, it doesn't pay to stay long for too long! Threats of more war, etc, markets will remain volatile. I agree with your sentiments, I was shocked, I didn't think he would bale a second time around, but there we have it, I shouldn't have been taken in, but I'm not sat here blaming anyone for it, it was my decision, and mine alone, and I left when I felt it was right for me to do so.

Some of you just don't listen, and attack posters who could actually help you if you wanted. I have explained I was positive here, just as much as others when the bid situation was announced, because I thought that on the second occasion of asking, Dunkerton would go for it and not let shareholders down, but I was wrong, I held my hand up to it and pointed out the red flags that concerned me. I posted my trades to show I was bailing, at a bit of a loss I hasten to add, but it's your decision what you do, not mine, and you shouldn't go around blaming anonymous posters on a free for all chat site. Get over it.
