I have been watching the UK and American news for the last few days. Covid looks like it was completely hyped up. Any one see Matt Han****'s whatsapp messaged? 'scare the pants off everyone'. Projections of 200 million deaths from Dr Fauchi? Can we sue governments for crashing the economy and wiping out our shares? It really is such a shame. I do not mean just out of personal finance but how many companies failed because of governments made them close. think back... it was actually insane. UK 3rd lock down especially - that was the nail in the coffin. Glad I didn't put more in. i think i am about 93% down. Wasted effort. Is Mookie going to split all of his salary among the loyal share holders? HAHHAHAHA
Hopefully it is in an ISA - No CGT!
Spidey is good, I am hoping there isn't a lock down as i want to go and see Matrix - already booked and that would bump up the numbers too, but i expect the shares to fall for a while under fear of lock down and hopefully bounce back up in January :)
I sold £4k in ISA ahead of boris speech but leaving pension of £30k as longer to recover, but ISA i may need sooner, so bit much to risk atm
This is obviously down to shorters and market makers - LTH - we have been here loads over the last 18 months. If i had more than £1000 to chuck in I would have. Bargain prices, maybe another 6 months to hold but that's the point in investing, not gambling.
Yeah it goes up and down dummy :)
II am planning ongoing to Cineworld on Friday in Weymouth any recommendations? :)
stay strong, over the next six months i bet it will be at least back up to £1.20 :)
I know people are talking about May, but July with Summer Block Busters are going to be the big movers and shakers in the price :) which isn't very far away at all. I got another £1,800 in my ISA today, so feeling quite confident about it trending up.
It doesn't matter what it is doing this week or next week it maters for 6 months time, when it will be double again when they start making money. I will probably spend £100 myself on going to the cinema in that period of time when I can
Why is there this immediate out pouring of panic when ever there is a drop? It is a day! Hold until opening. I get paid Friday so if it goes down I'll be happy and buy more, if it doesn't I'll be happy as stays 100% from what I paid...easy peasy
Hello, so I have been googling but I cant find when the report is going to be releases for the 2020 earnings. I am assuming there will be a temporary drop on that news as obviously the earnings will be massively down, but I was going to buy more around that time if it near my pay day :)
just need to keep holding until end of the year :)
HA HA, this has got to hit the £1 when US market opens. Either way I am holding probably until at least this time next year. Cant move house this year now so sticking it on to deposit which should be helpful if it is 200% :)
Where have all of those people saying this was going to fall to 20p gone? Ha Ha Ha
Really don't worry about a few points on a day, this is a hold share, if you can afford too. A load of mine is in a SIPP so very long term, but my ISA around £6k off £3500 invested in 3 or 4 periods over last year....hoping that will jump up as its literally deposit, well, helping deposit for a house :)
I did say in a previous post, i actually want to go back to the cinema, I am a nerd and love it! I think the last new film i saw at the Cinema was Joker. I did want to see Tenet, but gf was pregnant so i wasnt allowed to go and mix, bah! but I think there is a desire for things to open and work as normally as possible, studios as well must be haemorrhaging funds not releasing films so I am quite literally betting on 2-3 years up to the Mooky £3 plus price....but that is longer term and not of the day traders or faint hearted when it dips for a week :)
Spock-tastic hahahha
Why is it when ever there is a small drop some people panic. It is fine. The stocks across the board go up and down. Unless you are day trading it really should not matter 2/3/4% down, or indeed up. 0.5% up a day for a week is actually very good progress. There has been little actual news and the cinemas are closed. When they open there is likely to be a big rise, just from sentiment. I will buy more on pay day, so I would actually like a drop before the end of the month, but depends on announcements and institutions, but I will probably hold this well into next year when full recovery is on track :)
I just sold £2,000 of Revs Bars and topped up a bit more in my SIPP. Revs will probably do fine but still think Cine is going to jump up. Thor Mining might get another £1,000 too :)
Solihullmike - Yes, I think by June there will have been at least a day it touched £1, so hoping for that.
Do we know when they are posting more results?
