Just posted the same on the sound board where people are moaning it's not rocketing as they are nearing the reservoir on their latest well. It's not like the good old days where a share did 50% because they spudded a well. Investors want tangible results. That's the only thing that will move this solidly up and as has been said many times there are loads of news items piling up that could drop at any time.

if there's a lot of gas they'll flare it off during testing, so yes the rig will be rigged down and on the way to TE-10

in a word yes the rate of penetration will be very similar

they've learnt a lot from previous wells so optimised the drill bit choice, bottom hole assembly, mud weights etc

once they drill into the TAGI its not about speed its about control. If they drill too quickly they can damage the formation and the reservoir and possibly losing control of the well. Too slow with the wrong mud weights can also cause problems with too much gas ingress into the borehole and possibly loosing control of the well .

The important thing is keeping a gauged hole and doing that safely so that if required a production liner can easily be run.
