I completely agree with your comments and I have made very similar comments ,but a 30% COS is the best you'll get on a wildcat well.

From what is being said Sound have assigned than COS without properly analysing the reams of Seismic data they have spent a year obtaining? does that sound like a "finger in the air" COS? how have they extrapolated the data to come up with it?

why spend so long gathering seismic data if they haven't analysed it properly, how strange

its the usual FRR form though just drops day after day without news. But it's spiked for no good reason too, so you never know could be .7 tomorrow...... :)

But if that does happen and it hits gas, not a problem if it doesn't hit gas then there's TE-11 and the sale of existing assets which should fetch 30p ish a share IMO

jack , the point is drilling a well is not an exact science, otherwise every well drilled would result in a discovery.

Sound are in collaboration with Schlumberger who are also massive with the best tech and people. Junior oil and gas explorers have to take the jump to drill wells and in Sounds case they have done this acting on the best data and people they have available.

They haven't bet the company on one well, they already have a .65 TCF discovery and a funded 3 well programme.

I'm ****ed off too but its doing my head in all these arm chair experts comments. I worked offshore for 7 years and was only on two wells that discovered commercial quantities of oil and gas.

If you were invested in BP and they drilled a duster, would you be calling for heads to roll?

believe me they have the best of the best available to them and they drill plenty of dry holes
