The Badger prospect is a 4 ay dip closure at Rotliegend level and has the potential for stacked Carboniferous reservoirs. It is located 10km west of the Schooner Field. The licence contains a commitment to reprocess 3D seismic data and a drill or drop well commitment.
 
48/4a was entered in December 2014 following award in the 28th Licensing Round. The block lies in the middle of the Badger prospect.
