@Metom
You seem quite the overly emotional investor, really can’t be good for your health. If you’re going to slate Mooky, you could at least get his name right… ;)
YAWN…
You’re an irrelevance here my friend, wishing you all the bad luck in the world with your short! :)
If there’s one guy on this board that isn’t a ramper it’s Bonkers, he’s actually one of the most balanced posters here. You really haven’t got a clue what you’re talking about. lol
I do wish you’d stop posting Insider, not that I give two ****s what nonsense you come up with but because folks like you actually have the opposite effect on me by adding incentive to buy more (I just have).
You certainly won’t fear me out of the market, I have all the patience I need to wait this out for as long as it takes. I’ll be sure to give you special thanks specifically when the time (hopefully) comes! :)
Best post on this board regarding the derampers and their nefarious way in months Bonks. Absolutely spot on.
@BlueBuxton
I was there on Monday night, finally got around to seeing Batman and it was easily over half full. I was half expecting us to be the only ones in the theatre! Salopians obviously doing their bit to keep up the attendance figures! ;)
@giantsquit
What's with these constant full stop thread titles, can't you just act normally like the rest of us?
I can only presume it's to stop your threads being searched for in your post history, iIt's really annoying and needs to be reported by the community if it continues.
Cineworld has never reported an operating loss in its history up until the pandemic, generating profit certainly has never been an issue. Lenders already know this and should the appeal fail I'm sure they know what will be required to happen if they want their money back... We go down, we take them with us.
I swear Ambulance is only doing badly because the official 3 minute trailer gives so much of the plot away, it's pointless watching it afterwards!
If don't want to watch the quickest movie ever, don't watch this trailer:

Sonic's great news though. :)
@EdinLass
You probably want to ask all the millions that went to see Spider-Man recently why their 'bigger TVs at home' all suddenly stopped working which caused the film to rank as the second-biggest domestic debut in box office history...
As for crunch times:
https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-1654967/UK-cinemas-dodge-recession.html (article posted in 2009 just after the last crash and still just as relevant today)
I'm going to make this REALLY simple for those that it still hasn't clicked for, CINE is going absolutely nowhere until the court case is settled and our financial outlook is much clearer, period - it's a HUGE noose around our necks and why the SP remains where it is. We all know the risks and the risk averse investors with any clout aren't touching this yet but the moment the future looks more favourable then they'll be in like a shot, guaranteed.
If you're already invested and a LTH you might as well just switch off and go out and do something less boring instead (to somewhat coin an 80's theme tune), at least until it's all resolved. If it's positive news (which by all accounts seems like there's a good chance according to Mooky and his legal team recently), then you're in early and certainly won't be missing out on the potential gains this has in her. The flip side, well we all know what that is, but that's the speculative risk innit...
The regulars all keep saying this requires a lot of patience for a reason. Don't invest more than you can afford to lose and obviously DYOR.
My Spidey senses are tingling...
Alderbaran, you're currently being very polite and open which I will always respect even though you obviously have a polar position to the majority of the members here. You're obviously more than welcome here and your viewpoint should be considered just as valid as anyone else's. After all, having all HONEST points of view creates a much more balanced outlook and I personally always welcome intelligent debate.
That said, you posted this last Thursday:
'Hi dont have anything new m8 i have stated my reasons and I stand by them. Fair enough you guys all debated them before and disagree with them.?I'm a bear and your a bull. Fair enough.??All I will say is so far the price is on my side so despite what is said in here, more people than not are on my side of the fence. ??Good luck I won't post anymore'
Can I ask why bother posting you’ve got nothing else new to add and you weren’t going to post anymore if you never meant it? This is the exact sort of thing that makes people apprehensive and lose respect for your ilk, it's then just a slippery slope downwards for the bb. If you didn't mean it, fine, just don't be deceitful.
Imagine shorting CINE at this price and then suddenly an out of court settlement gets announced which means we’re in the clear. This is a risky share to hold but it’s sure as hell even riskier to short at this price. If he’s taken it out recently he’s got iron balls I’ve give him that.
Now as much as I too despise shorting for the damage it causes to decent, legitimate companies (save the liquidity argument for another time), as I already posted I do at least appreciate he’s being open about it because everyone now knows he has an agenda. It’s the sneaky ****ers that try and subtly deramp that I can’t stand so at least we all know where we stand with this one.
I do hold out for day one of these derampers comes on here and introduces something fresh and new to the debate, but all I’ve read so far is identical to what all the others have posted in the past two years. It’s stale, repetitive and adds nothing new for us to discuss other than us having to post all the same old repetitive facts in response. It’s honestly mind numbingly dull.
Aldebaran, PLEASE come up with something original so we can have a good debate here.
The whole streaming argument was blown out the water the moment studios were forced into reintroducing theatrical releases due to piracy. It was considered a true tail between the legs moment for them in the industry and one huge coup for cinemas. Black Widow for example was one of the most pirated movies ever recorded.
It’s bizarre streaming is being brought up as an argument again to be honest, in fact it just strikes me as really desperate.
A really interesting survey article I found about the general public’s thoughts on going back to the cinema after the pandemic:
https://www.broadbandgenie.co.uk/blog/20210713-streaming-vs-cinema?pdg=kwd-1395338176506:cmp-14234969207:adg-125152813385:crv-538391206689:pos-&gclid=CjwKCAjwopWSBhB6EiwAjxmqDavV6Y4mmfrSFcmbbo1Mz7Viv9TC0ND91LY2_1HPNDPJ1XhM81wNBxoCGr4QAvD_BwE
At least you actually admit you’re shorting, that’s all the information anybody here needs to know. We can now take your posts with the bias it comes with.
Most here are LTH’s so you won’t have much luck getting folks to sell but I for one appreciate the honesty, it’s a rare occurrence with your ilk who are usually all cloaks and daggers.
WTAF...
I've seen some embarrassing diatribes on this board but I don't think I've witnessed something quite as funny as this...
77blackbridge, genuine question, do you suffer from some form of arrested development? You strike me as a bit of a Walter Witty with this penchant for lying, so who knows what is and isn't real in any of your posts. You get constantly called up on it with direct quotes from your post history and yet you still think anyone here takes you remotely seriously when YOU’RE actually the brunt of most of the humour here.
'I sometimes make out that I'm a lot poorer than I actually am, mainly because I'm not one to rub wealth in the faces of others' - yeah, 100% you're poor(er) and a liar. No one with wealth types crap like this on an ANONYMOUS bb - what on earth would be the point? Give your head a wobble you muppet.
‘the writing was on the wall but everyone was listening to the false PROFITS and trojan horses’ - this misspelling actually made me chuckle, only because you weren’t remotely trying to be funny. :)
Great post again Bonks. I think a lot of the old guard do still lurk here as they do post occasionally but there’s just very little news to report or research up on other than attendance figures until the court case gets settled. We’ll get the usual chancers (looking at InsiderInfo82, giantsquid and 77blackbridge right now) that will try their luck but they will disappear as quickly as the new ones appear. Stick around long enough and it’s bleeding obvious what goes on and it’s just the ‘same old, same old’ story tirelessly repeated.
Hussartbr - I don’t think there’s one LTH here that wouldn’t publicly admit or is not aware of the risk owning CINE. On the flip side though, we know we play it right then there are potentially serious returns to be had but it’s not going to be something that was ever going to happen over night. A lot of patience is definitely required.
It cracks me up that they always seem to single you out as a ramper by name Bonks, when quite frankly there’s not a single more honest and balanced poster here.
All it tells me is you must be doing something right for them to be getting the hump with you… ;)
InsiderInfo28, how about you stop telling people what to do with their money, there’s a good chap. I’ve never known so many be so bothered by what I invest my money in and yet it’s ALWAYS the derampers. One thing’s for absolute certain, you ain’t here altruistically!!
‘Insider Info’ indeed… Do you not realise posters with usernames like yours are the biggest giveaway to being a shill possible. You’re practically advertising you’re a troll every time you post!
