RE: At a stroke FCM revolutionises miningToday 10:58
The OP here (and the link to Alan Green's post on X) have got this (1) wrong, at best, and (2) misleading at worst.
Wrong because:-
nGRND are paying FCM - the X post has it the other way round.
Misleading because:-
The X post says FCM will receive between $9.4m and $11.5m
That's not correct; FCM will receive $160,000 as downpayment, and 'minimum' 60% x 77,293 ounces within 1 year which @ $130/ounce equals $6.4m.
So, FCM should receive $160,000 immediately and $6.4m sometime within the next year. That COULD mean June next year.
The deal appears to give FCM someheadroom to advance Sunbeam; but, from my take on the deal appears to leave decisions as to when to provide the cash in nGRND's hands rather than FCM.
In summary this MIGHT benefit FCM but that will depend on how they put the money to work elsewhere, eg. at Sunbeam.
