In this demonstration, the blade length of the generator will be expanded and modifications such as adding yaw pitch control as a control method will be performed. Yaw control is a control to change the direction of the generator according to the direction of the tide (rising tide / falling tide) to generate electricity efficiently, and pitch control is to change the inclination of the blade according to the speed of the tide to generate electricity efficiently. Refers to the control of.

Consider maintenance methods and environmental impact assessment methods
In addition, in this project, we will demonstrate a large tidal current generator and examine maintenance methods and business models. In addition, we will consider coexistence with the community, implementation of environmental assessment, and establishment of standardization methods.
KyudenMiraiEnergy is in charge of overall business management, and is responsible for construction management / related measures, power generation / operation management, etc. The co-executor, Nagasaki Marine Industry Cluster Formation Promotion Council, is in charge of work related to environmental impact assessment and prediction work such as power generation amount by numerical simulation. The council is composed mainly of companies in Nagasaki Prefecture, and supports the advancement of local companies into the marine energy industry.
In this demonstration, the generator of SIMEC Atlantis Energy (SAE), a British tidal current power generation company, is used. In this project, SAE's subsidiary ATLANTIS OPERATIONS (AOUK) will provide guidance and supervision on construction such as remodeling of SAE's 500kW tidal current generator and installation / removal in Japan. In addition, Atlantis Operations Japan (AOJ / Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture), a Japanese subsidiary of AOUK, will install and remove it.
In addition, academic experts and companies engaged in marine construction will participate as advisors.

Toward commercialization of tidal current power generation system
The Ministry of the Environment's "Regional decarbonization model construction project by tidal current power generation" is to put into practical use technical aspects such as reducing power generation costs by improving the efficiency of tidal current generators, and to build a business model for commercialization. The purpose is to obtain the prospect of commercialization of the tidal current power generation system.
Japan is the 6th largest maritime nation in the world in the exclusive economic zone and has great potential for marine renewable energy. Among them, tidal power generation is attracting attention because it is a st
