Enjoying the banter5 Oct 2021 20:35
London South-East have forced me to become a member so I can carry on viewing the banter in this chatroom. Over the last couple of weeks it has made me chuckle how, when the SP goes down, the chat disappears, when the SP goes up, the chat starts up again, and now we're approaching £5.00, it's positively shrill! Great stuff :) My story is most probably like a lot of you. AAL gave me a few shares which weren't worth selling cos of the cost, so I thought I'd just let them be and see what happens. Then I saw what was happening to the coal price on Trade Economics so bought some more. When the coal price stalled at about 177, I chickened out and sold my initial investment and have left the profit just to watch the story unfold. My two thoughts for the future are: 1) Once the coal price starts to fall, there's going to be a stampede for the exit. 2) The government introducing some sort of one-off tax on, what looks like, the, unexpected, huge profits, in the pretext of 'ESG' and clean-up.
