Hi members, all valid points I agree, however this company was told "you will never get planning permission" "you will never secure Stage 1 funding" "you will never secure Stage 2 funding"
2 out of 3 have been completed and all being well Stage 2 will happen, so this has been up against it for a long time.
Here are a few reasons I like it so much; Directors with lots of skin in the company, huge resource of the highest grade, potentially tremendous profit margins, proven product, TorP's up to 11.7Mtpa, the outstanding progress made on site.
UK company, organically certified product and there are many more.
It's all down to individual choice I guess, like I say I am happy to invest and hope all goes to plan.

Good morning members, I agree with you that the sp is a disappointment, but for me there is still a lot of upside in this company.
I'm also very open to constructive criticism or the negatives of a company and believe we need to keep our eyes open to all eventualities.
This isn't a trick question but besides not receiving Stage 2 funding could you give me a few reasons why this Project could be a poor punt please..?

Isn't that basically because of dilution..!
I think you were replying to members' post - 15Lives... you systematically fail to tell me and everyone else here, why the sp is pathetically low at 14

members just for the record I am invested in this (and have been for nearly 5 years) because I've researched the company and it's potential return and am more than happy with my decision, I don't believe in fairy stories.

Anyone who's done any research knows the potential of this company and like many others on here I don't see many other companies out there with the potential upside that Sirius have.
I had a lengthy chat with Tristan from Sirius the other day and it just strengthened my belief that this is the right investment for me. All the Sirius people are so proud of what they are achieving and continue to push hard to get this project into production. A lot of the employees who have been holding shares for a lot longer than me are also very disappointed and bemused at the current SP and have paper losses greater than mine but as CF has stated the only true way to get value for us shareholders is to get the mine built.
It's clear to see we have been held to ransom and let down with financing which is very disappointing. but for me the Stage 2 high yield bonds being taken up is the catalyst and all being well this will happen, I know for sure that everything is being done to make this happen.
I told him I was talking to a couple of old dears at the weekend who were from Scarborough and mentioned Sirius and that they hadn't heard of the company but were aware that some company had moved into the Scarborough Building Society building, they were astounded when I told them about everything Sirius were doing locally. Tristan stated to me, which I hadn't really taken into account, is that the area hasn't had anything like this good luck story for a long, long time and so a lot of people don't really believe or take as much notice as they maybe should and also a lot of the ill informed tabloid articles are doom and gloom, which generally increases their sales as well as making people sceptical about the bright future.
So for me, although I too am carrying a paper loss and am disappointed at the SP and am fully aware that this isn't a done deal yet am happy to hold for the future. The progress across all sites is astounding even if I can't see it in the flesh so to speak, I'm convinced this will come good.

Scotman, I honestly think a lot of the people who run National Parks and the like don't really want people anywhere near them to be honest, that's certainly my experience anyway. I'm sure they aren't all like that but I've visited a few areas like this and on a good few occasions been met with a protective nervousness from the regulars asking what I'm up to.
One example is that I live on the North West coast and there is a bird sanctuary near me, I often go fishing there but run into an overzealous twitcher every time. It usually starts with them hurrying over to question why I am there, shortly followed by you're not supposed to be on here when the birds are nesting you will upset them. I always quote that the Magna Carta signed by King John in 1215 gives me the right to wander below the high water mark which does the trick. They usually go back to pile driving big stakes into the ground to which they screw a sign that reads "Nesting Birds stay away" yet they claim I am the one upsetting the birds by quietly observing the flora and fauna as I stick to the paths to get me to my destination on the beach, you couldn't make it up..!
I do hope everyone (who behaves themselves) are positively encouraged to enjoy what is obviously a beautiful area of natural beauty over there at the North Yorkshire Moors..!

Good point Brad, I was discussing Sirius with a couple of elderly people from Scarborough at the weekend and gave them an overview of what was happening regarding thedifferent sites, progress, local community work, tree planting and jobs galore..!
They replied "we've never heard of them, we knew someone had moved into the Scarborough Building Society"

I wholeheartedly agree Scotman, I didn't think Minesinthemine's post was offensive in the slightest and can understand his frustrations. I also agree that post Stage 2 would have been a more tactful time to announce a Share award. I'd have to admit I haven't read the full prospectus as finding time is a struggle at present but I didn't read any detail in the RNS regarding just what was was achieved by the BOD and Senior Management Team..!
And before anyone starts all the "negative post, he's not ebven invested" replies, I'm certainly not and certainly am, and to add like to think I keep a level headed open opinion on a Project I fully believe in...!

See the SP is responding in the usual fashion to a positive RNS, lol

Yes the $500m High Yield Bonds do need to go otherwise we are in trouble but I would hate to see another $500m of equity, we have had enough dilution IMO. Like I say lets hope it is only debt in one form or another..!
