I simply reckon that the market has longer memories than most of the deluded. They are simply tired of the overly ambitious rhetoric spouted by the Les Grossman lookalike and now take a more dispassionate view on his utterances. Take the ABB debacle as a case in point; everyone was getting all creamy about the amazing £4.0M contract, and even arguing that all was well in spite of the fact that the deferred income only came to light after auditor intervention, but never mind, it will come in this year.....well lo and behold, it hasn't, it's still deferred, so that didn't come to pass, did it. There has been no information given about whether there are any milestone driven release points, and if so, what the metrics are, and nothing ref ABB has been included in the work of fiction jokingly referred to as "the order book"......the question is, if the contract has changed, and the £1.4M is released as the sales (which ABB aren't contractually bound to), what happens if there are no orders? Does AFC have to issue a cheque for a £1.4M refund, or what?
Interesting times......but I guess that this point wont be addressed at the sycophants convention known as the AGM....
Is the Pom beginning to see the real picture? He was another one who pretended to be "the voice of reason" when he first appeared, but look at him now, throwing insults around willy nilly, normally the actions of one who has had an epiphany but simply cant bear to acknowledge the simple sad truth.....

It isn't so much an attack of the jitters, it is just that, as the project was supposed to be the start of a new dawn when released, and was touted as a pivotal moment, I am a little concerned that the initial headline income of £4.0 Million could potentially not arise.
As for the "Les" comment, very cruel, but quite humorous nonetheless.
Good morning
I have only just had a chance to look at the annual report and then the presentation.
I must admit, I am now a little concerned. The basher Git has been rattling on for some time about the validity of the ABB deal, and whilst what he said did strike a chord (like or loathe what he posts, the arguments put forward do always have an element of logic, and can be difficult to disprove) but I had put this down to negative bias. However, the fact that there is still £1.4 million not yet recognised in respect of the ABB deal is a concern; I was under the impression that the £2.0 million fee related to delivery of the 200 KW unit, and thus one would expect that, if this were the case, then some of the deferred £1.4 million would have been released in the current year.
When reviewing the presentation, I noted that the financial chap mentioned that the deferred income related to the discount that ABB had been given on future orders, which seems at odds with the initial contract terms; so the question must surely be, at what point contractually does the deferred income get released, is it upon delivery of the working unit (in which case, one would expect that there would be partial releases upon achieving certain milestone performance points) or upon receipt of an actual contractually binding order? The problem I foresee is that if it is the latter, then as there is no tie in, then the £1.4 million that we were all rejoicing as it represented a sale may in fact not ultimately materialise if ABB do not ultimately buy into the product.
Conversely, if it is the former, I am concerned as to why there was no release in 2023.
My question therefore is, does anyone actually know what the contractual release points in the ABB contract are?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Good morning
Assuming it were possible to use a h2 ICE to power a generator, would it not be interesting to look at the comparative efficiencies between ICE and fuel cell? Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Your comments would be appreciated
If it is true that AFC are now reliant on bought in key elements of their offering, and are no longer offering anything with a proprietary advantage, then is there not the fear that the company will be overtaken by others with far deeper pockets and greater levels of resource available…my original investment was made some considerable time ago when it appeared that this little company had some unique tech, and had a first mover advantage, but as both of these aspects of the company appear to have evaporated, one does wonder what the future holds, simply because on the face of it, if hydrogen is the way forward, then the company’s market share will be under threat from these more powerful competitors.
I say this with an element of sadness, as I bought in on the basis of thinking that this little company could make a difference, but it would appear that it was in fact a case of heart ruling head…
Gitfinger.
I would respond as follows.
You are a known sceptic (I dispute the basher label, however, as there is usually some credence in what you say, whether you are in agreement or not) but I can only report in good faith what I have been told.
I have enquired further on the matter, and apparently try are investigating the use of a 100kw unit running on pure hydrogen to be produced from an electrolyser powered by the proposed new solar farm close to the factory. Now I am not au fait with the AFC offering, and thus whether they could be in the frame for this, but thought it worthy of comment.
As I understand, this is indeed the company.
Hi
Whilst I can’t vouch for the provenance of the information, I thought it might be worthwhile sharing something a chum mentioned to me the other evening. He is involved in supply line security on the provisions field, and mentioned that one of the grocery monthly trade magazines is going to run an article about Frank Cooper investigating the use of fuel cells to power their Oxford facility
I am wondering whether they saw the unit used in the gin manufacture and were suitably enthused to investigate further, if so, then this could be a cause of great excitement, does anyone know any more about this prospect?
Good morning.
I note that there was an EV car show at the weekend just outside Oxford. I was wondering if anyone went, and whether either AFC or ABB were present and in any way presenting the case for their tech.
Any feedback on this event would be appreciated.
I agree that there should be a forward thinking approach to plant replacement. It could be that JCB with their hydrogen internal combustion unit could be a major advance, but again, is subject to he same problems, namely the supply of hydrogen…does anyone out there know what purity of hydrogen the JCB unit runs on, because if it can run on lower grade hydrogen, then could this not be a potential market for the cracker unit?
Pommygit..........surprised you're not at the AGM......oh, but then again you probably are in the form of your alter ego.....funny how you only ever pop up when Mr Incredible runs out of steam......
Good afternoon good people
I am just wondering if anyone is proposing to give those of us who were unable to attend a brief rundown of what transpired at the AGM. It would be interesting to hear how the board see tings panning out over the next 12 months or so.

But surely the collection and collation of data falls within the remit of a field trial, does not a case study usually act as a precursor of a field trial?
I am somewhat surprised and indeed alarmed to read that the kier deployment appears to be as a part of a case study, as opposed to a trial per se. If the deployments were as a part of a trial, then it would be reasonable to assume that this would be a precursor to sales, and thus that they may be just over the horizon, but if they are a part of a case study, it is reasonable to assume that we are a number of steps away from the placing of orders than we were hoping.
I would appreciate others views on the situation, and more specifically their take on potential lead times to commerciality.
I actually think that spotting new potential markets us quite valid, and indeed I note that Git mentioned the use of fuel cells to power leisure centres, using the surplus heat to warm up the swimming pools. No doubt he was being feceicious, but actually, he may just have a point (albeit stumbled on accidentally in his quest to antagonise) so maybe someone should reach out to the company in this respect; you never know, if this application were to be successful, Git could inadvertently enrich us all…..oh, the irony of that!
I seem to have inadvertently stirred up a bit of a hornets nest, but I think it’s an illustrative indication of what can happen when there is obscurity insofar as the status of the company’s products us concerned. One would hope that the annual report will contain some finite detail so that we all have a better understanding of where the company is, rather than relying on supposition.
I think we need to accept that Extreme E is in the past, and whether or not it represented a valid promotional venture, or was imply a vanity project, one can only speculate. Similarly, we know not at this point whether the units being deployed with various potential customers will ultimately lead to sales / leases.
what we do need desperately is news on the ABB deployment, and possibly an update on Alkamem, in order top steady the ship, otherwise I fear that we could be in danger of a downward drift as a result of an actual news vacuum. It would be a shame if the doubters were ultimately proven correct, as we all have not only a financial investment, but an emotional investment in the company.

I can assure you that DW is very much English today.......

Ah, that's all right then...... from 50 qualified leads, we have a couple of leases of PT's that are still in development, and that's about it. Never mind, these things take time, you know, we just need to tweak it a little bit more, and a little bit more but never mind, it's jam tomorrow boys! Except tomorrow will never arrive. Happy for you to crack on and carry on believing, but just don't expect a big payday any time soon (if at all) just treat it as a bit of fun......as they say, when the fun stops, stop......and by the amount of vitriol, it looks like the fun's stopped for a lot of you a long time ago.
