The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
I agree Epsen - apart from wanting to jump into something else or unless funds are needed, do you see why anyone would sell now after it's recent intent / pending next steps? Yes at present Covid is unfortunately rife in India, but with international aid starting and an established vaccine out there, these to me are temporary setbacks. We have seen in the UK that once the vaccine is rolled out how quickly things can change. Plus the Indian government seem adamant on moving forward with energy initiatives. Only thing stopping Oilex previously was the dispute, now resolved. I strongly believe that any short term impatient sellers allow buying opportunities for new investors or for current holders to add to their position. GLA.
Would take any of those three Mr Positive!
That’s a perfectly fine entry and holding, I imagine you will do very well out of it. Good luck on the next episode of Jeremy wade’s river monsters.
Another good day for day traders Robot 1 Uk, hope you filled your boots and removed that stick up your jacksie in the process.
GLA.
Zag - it depends on the news. stocks do this - people trade and take small profits or they sell desperate for a lower buy back price which of course is possible but it's generally a waste of time unless there is something negative which is significant. In terms of the bigger picture this is another good piece of the jigsaw. Keep them coming. Again, when the big news hits you will know about it that day. So many times I've seen people leave because it doesn't happen overnight and then wallop either a big RNS drops or the market decides it really likes it and you are left trying to find another stock. I would be grateful that you are in cheap in a fantastic opportunity and a seemingly well run organisation! That's worth its weight in gold in these explorers, trust me. GLA.
You always get those comments though don't you - which is fine. It's part of the ride! We will know about it when the bigger ones hit that's for sure. The biggest RNS for me in the coming weeks would be Gordon getting back in. It would be a morale boost akin to an important general coming in with cavalry.
GLA.
Sure no problem, next time you get emotional like Westlife live in concert over an AIM stock that moves, I’ll gladly ignore it.
Well if you are not a Day Trader, R1bobuk, then at the risk of sounding blunt your original comment of "this is not looking good" is irrelevant because that move over the space of a few hours is meaningless in the context of where this is going. In the meantime, it's finished at 0.29 today, so some people after the funding confirmation have sold short expecting a better buy back price. They might get it, they might well. But I don't think they will with this, investor confidence is good. Most of the time holding and adding on dips is better - you keep your original buy price and mitigate the risk of getting caught with your pants down when the big RNS hits. GLA.
Yes Mr Positive!
Sorry, but I have to correct people saying it's not looking good. Unless you are day traders looking for a quick swing - it's actually the opposite. If they were not able to raise the funds to deliver the project then it would be "not looking good" If they didn't have a load of interested JV partners, then I would say "its not looking good" - yesterday is part of the process and it is in fact GREAT news that they have raised the funding quickly to get on with the job - it shows they have their ducks lined up. Any dips because of the warrants to me is gift to stock up more (if you can). Patience friends, it's coming.
Pe6169 absolutely spot on. If you are out when the big one comes you kick yourself. Seen it so many times. Patience is the only obstacle as things stand. And when you know the RNS' that are in the pipeline, then this becomes a great adding zone. When it does go to 1+ then 2, 3 etc, then you have conquered patience and then you have a different question to answer! In my experience with investing, when you feel you are onto something good with clear progression outline in the not too distant future, things tend to go better when you are patient. We are talking weeks / months with this now - not years! GLA.
Somewhere towards the $11b mark will do.
Brilliant obone. As an investor this is the most excited i've been about a company in sometime. Years in the doldrums, come out the right side and is finally getting the recognition it deserves for perseverance and determination. And we haven't scratched the surface yet. Well run companies really do reassure investors.
Very well written point Teela, but this is part of the game. Going into speculative shares like this inevitably has it's pros and cons. We all know what we are signing up for. However, i'd to think with this the pros far outweigh the cons with Oilex. Ok - so there's some dilution but without the capital raise, the show can't go on and it's the show that what will make you the money long term - assumingly a great amount above what you have bought the shares at.
Bandit.
More than happy for this to drop, you always get the same sellers when capital raise happens but it's completely necessary to fund the project. Days like today and resultant fluctuations are a drop in the ocean - patience is your only enemy with this before it really goes (prior to drilling etc). I will buy more shares happily in the meantime - anything below 0.33 is fantastic IMO.
We are solid around here. This is a great accumulation zone before pending announcements. Adding every chance I get. GLA.
Pacman you are class. Glad to have you on board The Polar Express
Anyone noticed every time we hit 30 - it's manipulated right back at 0.29 to create demand? For now 0.30 is a psychological level that MMs are using to hoover up shares. The is the alternative theory that we have a whale profit taker at 0.30 but I think that's unlikely as we're only getting started. Big things to come I believe.
GLA.
Completely agree - this seems to be the new consolidation area unless fickle investors get bored waiting and want to move onto the next toy in the AIM. But this is a great level here - it's come out of the doldrums and you know that once contracts are exchanged, cash is transferred and GOI approval comes - those announcements will see a strong bounce. And when projects / drilling commences, that's a new level all together. Seems to be a good company aswell with integrity at the helm, which can is totally lacking in some of the other explorers.
In case I didn't RAM home the point yesterday - this is what they do; flip pennies.
Some bloody good RNS' coming up. Well before drilling commences.
