If these spikes creates new shorts, I will be a bit careful
Missed the entire run. Had sold it on 145, will look to get in sometime. JP M had a change of over 100 points in their target point and the shorters were made well aware of that. Whoever stayed, congratulations. May it continue to go up
It's good to see shorts dropping. GLG reduced shorts yesterday by 0.08%
Not good for share price actually.
Okay - Check out this chart then.
@Hitman, I believe this was directed towards me. These weren't predictions but probabilities. Anyway, won't be posting for a while, will give you all peace. GLA.
Look at the chart that I shared earlier. It broke out of the channel to downside. I will wait and hold till it starts going up before I jump back in.
Based on the price action and market trend, I am starting to believe the UK market might be looking for a hard landing. If it doesn't this will go up.
No use. If it was a real buy, stock would move up. Huge volume - down day - shorts. If the closing price adjust down at the end, it means bears win, something that you can see over the last 3 trading days. Will have to see how iag performs after aals price action today
Didn't like the fact that there are more than 1 shorts in IAG. Went all out in cash, will look to enter when things are sensible. ATM not sensible. Flash crash in AAL. All the volume and action since the open just disappeared. Looked like rug pull.
This explains it, Marshall Wace LLP opened fresh shorts on March 1st which is why the stock is down.
140 this week is quite dangerous as it will be a breakout of this channel that I shared in January. The most probably action was for the upside, unless of course the current price action is a bear trap. The fall went down quite strong and hard.

The Irony.
AAL - Total Debt - 40.66B (not a problem) Lets go. $16.09
IAG - Total Debt - 13.94B (we've got a big problem) Crash. £1.45
Bit disappointed when most airlines have got a decent return from October, IAG is where it is always. Even YTD is down. No one to blame other than the investors.
AAL shot up to 16, that will push this up but don't know how much.
At first last weeks fall felt like an over reaction but its starting to worry a little bit. I did book some gains last week but I am also on the verge of pulling the plug. There are many other ships that can give a decent return with less risk.
Geez, GLG shorts increased yet again yesterday
The below might be a valid reason for the share price not moving much and not really a CEO issue.

All analyst targets after yesterday's results:
JP Morgan - Sell - (what are they thinking ? it will go down to 1 ?, that will be 4.92 B market cap for a company that generates 3.5B)
Bernstein - Buy - TP 200
RBC - Neutral - The target price is unchanged at GBX 200
Barclays - Buy - 260
My suggestion to the market is at least keep the YTD positive which means above 155 range. 148 is foolishness for a company that generates 3.5 Billion pounds but has a market capitalisation of 7.5 Billion. 3 years back 150 was reasonable but not in 2024.
Okay Skindle. That's two forecast check early in the morning.
1. IAG did reach 150 today morning.
2. Bernstein raising target to 210 from 190 - Outperform
5.1 I want to elaborate on this point further. Total IAG Shares - 4.92 B x 1.47p (current price) = 7.23 Market Cap.
where as the Enterprise value is14.02 B, that's twice the current value and maybe that's why barclays raised from 250 p to 260 p. IAG - PE ratio is 4.20 vs average industry at PE 9.74, what's more attractive is its forward PE.
so if you are worried if IAG will go down to sub 140 levels - 4.92 B x 1.40p = 6.88 Market Cap, when in reality the profit is 3.5 B. If you study how cheap IAG share is, you won't sell at this price and will chill till it reaches above 200p.
The casino wants your cheap shares, they will have push down the share price to get yours.
