Thats a really good point. Hospital/lab testing is a logistical nightmare. How many people are really going to want to queue up with hundreds of other people who think they have been infected? At the 5pm briefings they have been saying that even people with serious illness have been avoiding hospital because they are so scared of being infected. Rapid home testing is so massively important here.

We will have a situation where potentially NHS staff, teachers, police and various other essential services can get the lab based test, which by the way is still up to a fortnight away. I still expect the vast majority of people will be taking the rapid home testing kit. Plus of course there is the travel industry. Instant result testing could be a massive tool in allowing those who have had the virus to travel and kick starting the industry world wide.
