Good boy. Now then, go and buy yourself a lollipop and go and buy some shares in this basket case of a club. I am pleased that, as, a shareholder, you are happy with a delisted club, lacking integrity, getting staff sacked (thanks to the boycott), and I am sure that you have been to school. Perhaps. This is a terribly distressed stock and the problems are not just the new Board members, who are crooks and inept, but, poorly educated, mob rule folks who live on a diet of the Daily King. A hopeless club, lacking integrity, class or dignity. The fans are even worse. Apparently, the other mob were called the beggars for, well, a Century. A poor club in the East End. That was Celtic. The real beggars today are Glasgow Rangers through appalling fiscal vandalism over 25 years. They have had the begging bowl out for years. Get over it. On a personal note, I wish them well, but anticipate administration under that crook called Dave King. The fans voted in a criminal.
You are a footie fan who, like others on here who are so called 'die hards', you don't have a clue about corporate governance. Not an idea. Clueless. A fan who has erred on to the wrong site. The team looks fitter. Great. Hungrier. Great. More shape. Great. Better. Great. And looks as if the wasted and indulgent years of that clown (and Rangers man) are over for the time being. Mc Call has certainly done an excellent job so far and restricts himself to talking about football matters. All those things are positives. What you don't seem to understand, either through ignorance, a lot of emotion or perhaps other factors going on in your cranium, is that all of a sudden, these results (whilst great for the supporters) could well be rendered irrelevant with the chaos now going on off the pitch. Green left the previous Board a hospital pass and they lost the fans. I get that. The fans then voted for change including a crook and an inept interim Chairman who called for the boycott of the club which cost folks their jobs. Shameful. Since the new regime took over, the team (thanks to McCall) looks better. Off the pitch, it is immesurably worse. Delisted, a convicted crook planning a rights issue with no funds to pay for it and a very uncertain future, but administration, again, a distinct possibility. Transparency?.......King can't spell the word. I will leave you with a simple thought as you may be able to digest it.......without sustainability, corporate governance, access to short term funding and standards of excellence OFF the pitch, you won't have a team to watch. It will be gone once and for all. King and his gang offer none of those. None. If you don't really get the basics, please return to a footie site. This is meant for adults who comment on the health or otherwise of the stock.
@SoF.......is there a reason that the Scotiish Press don't report this stuff which, potentially, has hugely damaging consequences for the club and it's survival. I check the odious Daily King on line every now and again, just to see what sort of rubbish the baying mob are being fed. Irresponsible journalism, in my view, and he has been given a home run by them. But, surely, surely, there are some decent journalists and half decent papers up there who can get access to this very damaging material. Meanwhile, Paul Murray has got off to an appalling start with even last transparency than the last Board, who had the club trading on the Market. This club is immeasurable worse off than it was a month or so ago off the pitch with a hugely uncertain future. As for Murray's high level spin of being at the top by 2022, with the second highest wage bill in Scottish football, well, it is clear that the fans have settled for a lack of ambition, mediocrity and a crook who will do untold damage to this stock. Why does this go unreported? It may be a little wake up call to the many buffoons in the so called RST and Sons of Struth (or whatever they call themselves) who voted for anarchy.
You poor dear. You are a mere football fan and should be on a site full of poorly educated bigots. There is quite a number. Now then, more bums on seats and a couple of decent results doesn't do it. This stock is in free fall, has been delisted and will attract no funding because the baying masses wanted a crook at the helm. The financials are hopeless, the stock is hopeless and the club is in danger of going bust yet again. If it doesn't go bust, I can assure you that King will make sure that a lot of folks out there lose their so called investment (Rangers speak for loan). I guess that you are a real fan, and that is great, but don't understand corporate governance, sustainability, standards of excellence and a business run by folks who are educated and have integrity. Emotion is a great thing, dear chap, until the P and L kicks in. You don't have a clue about the running of this stock. Not a clue. A couple of good results and, well, things are great. In a Mickey Mouse league. You seem the sort of chap, if your house was burning down, and badly, you would rush off to the broom cupboard to Hoover the remaining carpet to make it look good for the firefighters. This club is in terminal decline. Unfortunately, folks like you do have not been educated to understand the fundamentals of how a small business (like Rangers) should be run. It has been a financial basket case for 25 years. Not much has changed including the ignorant views of many of the fans.
I think that you should try a bit of reading dear chap. Things looking up? You were doing cartwheels when Rangers put four past part time Cowdenbeath. Meanwhile today, this game meant nothing to Hearts who are Champions of a Mickey Mouse league. The club is collapsing, the share has been delisted, they couldn't get a NOMAD, the will be legal action against King, no one will touch him because of his criminal record, but the fans wanted a 'Rangers Man' who was lucky to avoid a lengthy jail sentence, and folks like him, Paul Murray and crackpot Bomber Brown got a boycott going which cost folks on basic wages their jobs. They lost their jobs thanks to King etc. They must be so very proud. You clearly don't have a clue about governance, standards or the implications on this stock of what's happening off the pitch. You really do not have a clue with regard to the serious implications of having a convicted felon associated with this basket case of a stock. Well done on a meaningless victory against worthy Tier 2 Champions who had nothing to play for. Things looking up? This stock has rarely been so distressed and has a very uncertain future. McCall has clearly made a difference. But DO try to understand this. Really try this and I shall keep it simple for you. There will only be a team on the pitch if the fundamentals OFF the pitch work. King and Murray have neither the funds nor intellect to run this small, loss making operation, and IF it does survive, I expect a lot of 'blind' and poorly educated punters will lose out.
I am presuming that this site will shut down imminently. I have to say that it has been an interesting array of opinions, analysis, facts, often pure emotion, humour and a decent meal of fish and chips, washed down with copious amounts of Buckfast. Funny stuff. This site, unlike almost any other share site, carries a huge amount of emotional baggage. Anything posted by folks like me, SoF, Aqua, Ff and more are regarded as anti Rangers and worse. Oddly enough, we are not. This club has been through terrible times and with King near or at the helm, my view is that this stock is heading for oblivion. I see no happy ending here whatsoever. I really do hope that I am wrong (I often am) and I really do hope that this stock survives and flourishes. It is important to Scottish football. And more importantly, to Liz, a waiteress there, who served our table, with a kid who needs care, and on a minimum wage. It's an important community club and I really hope that it survives, but in the absence of quality, I suspect not. Good luck with this stock, the club the team and I really wish it all the very best. L'chaim.
At least I call it right and have done so consistently. When this basket case would go bust (I was out by a few years) and the current abyss called 'Being Run By Real Rangers Men'. This has been an appallingly run stock for the past 25 years or so. Unfortunately, the poorly educated on this site, fed on a daily diet of Buckie and the Daily King, can't seem to grasp the scale of this disaster which the so called fans voted for. As for writing several paragraphs, try it. Really. Have a go. It may help and challenge you. Come on...you can do it.
I remain surprised (but shouldn't be) that King, Murray and the rest of the new Board are not getting slated in the odious Scottish press. This stock is immeasurably worse off than it was a month or so ago, and facing a very uncertain future. Transparency? A seven year plan to compete at the top of a hopeless league with the second highest football wage bill in Scotland? Delisted. No access to funding. Writs on the horizon which they will be unable to fight. It really is quite a mess. But, hey, things are on the up according to some on this site........a few more bums on seats and rip roaring back to back victories against Hibs and part time Cowdenbeath. Glory days indeed. Really, get a grip. This stock just lurched back into the world of uncertainy and, I fear, a financial abyss. The previous Board indeed made numerous mistakes (as did the Bank funded SDM days who bankrolled all those trophies, but that was ok because no one noticed that all those great players were brought in on borrowed money).......BUT, a few weeks ago, this club was trading on the AIM, had access to funding and had a semblance of a future. Today, it has no transparency, no vision, delisted, and some really agitated investors who have lost a bundle. When the writs start coming, they won't have the funds to cope with the legal action let alone rebuilding a new squad for next year. I think that the club will go bust again and be liquidated. And that's a pity, as I did enjoy my rare trips up there. The fans voted for change and jolly well done. But a few of us here warned of anarchy if King, Murray etc got anywhere near the stock. Well, we were spot on. This club has been a mess for a very long time. I didn't think that it would get worse. But, it just did.
But this was all so very predictable. I have retained a morbid interest in this stock after i predicted that it would go bust ten years ago following a Champions League game and terrific hospitality in the Thornton Suite (ok, I got my prediction out by a few years, but I was spot on because the fundamentals were all wrong under SDM and still are). One of my dear chums was involved in the disposal of this basket case of a business and I certainly would not have invested in this stock under any circumstances. But, I did ask about this fellow King, hmm, probably a couple of years ago whilst enjoying a glass of wine in the sunshine with him. His answer was curt, but along the lines of..........he always wanted control of the club and he will do anything, absolutely anything, to get it for nothing. Well, he was spot on. The gullible masses have been hoodwinked by him and that fanzine, the Daily King, into thinking that he was some sort of saviour. He is not. He is your worst nightmare. In my view, he possesses none of the qualities required to be an appropriate guardian of this stock.......intellect, leadership, vision. Oh, and he is a convicted crook. If that is what you mean by a 'Real Rangers Man', then this stock has no future whatsoever. Precious 'Real Rangers Men', like McCoist and Smith did huge and long lasting damage to this business. The club desperately needed a fresh start. Not a crook. But, hey the fans have got what they wanted. And deserve. As for a seven year plan, well, to compete near the top by 2022, well, it did make me giggle. Good luck with that.
This is a trash stock and about to be controlled by a convicted felon. A criminal. A guy who had his integrity trashed in a court of law. But, hey the fans are happy. A couple of victories against Hibs then part time Cowdenbeath and, wow, rosy days. This stock is burning and crashing. No one down here wanted to go near it. And, if you thought that the lat Board were bad, which they were, be prepared for another train crash. No money, no intellect, and thick guys back at the helm. This stock has no future and the fans, who have rallied around, but believing the Daily King every day, have mistakenly killed the club off. This club is heading for the buffers again, and lacks class, style, integrity and standards. A basket case. Happy Easter and for those out there like me, enjoy tomorrow's Seder. L'Chaim guys.
The club has been on a drip feed to debt and loans since, well, before my kids were born now, a 25 year addiction to debt isn't good. But, the Scottish press and gullible fans bought into it. Really, quite shameful. But, hey, he is a Rangers man so, can't wait to see the vision for being at the top of Scottish football in 2022. Wow. That's a way off. In real speak, it means..........we are broke, and need to raise funds. An embarrassing bunch. The club deserved better. It really did.
Stunning stuff. Smashing. Things on the pitch looking up. Last victory against part time Cowdenbeath. Now, that is excellent progress! You must be so proud.. Now then, off the pitch, the uncertainty continues and the club has its shares suspended and the fans wanted a crook at the helm. This is a club which can't spell dignity or class. A pity. I enjoyed my few days up there in the Thornton and Argyle suites. A hopeless stock. 2022? Now, that's what I call a vision, which means, there is no money to rebuild, but, please, dear fans, the Rangers word for........well, can you give us a loan please. I am amazed that some folks on here are taken in by this nonsense. The club is broke, voted in a crook, suspended shares and a seven year plan for the future. It really is beyond a giggle.
No bitterness, dear chap. This basket case of a club has been addicted to debt for 25 long years. All those great players and trophies? Yep, paid for by the bank. This club does not understand the concept of sustainability. Neither does the odious Scottish press. It was on a drip feed of bank money for a quarter of a century until they, rightly, called it in. This is a club which is addicted to debt and so called sugar daddies. It is a hopeless stock which has been run into the ground.......a big list of culprits, SDM, McCoist, Smith, Green, the last board. If you think that intellectual vigour, vision and transparency will appear over the horizon, think again. The fans just voted, in my view, for oblivion. King is the wrong answer to a question which no one has posed. Good luck with the Rangers man who narrowly avoided jail. The last Board were indeed negligent. Terrible. So too was SDM who left a legacy of borrowing and no excellence whatsoever. SoF got it spot on today (I used to echo those views when tuning in to this site). No one of quality want to touch this stock. No one. Which is why the fans have ended up with a crook, hounding the corridors, a suspended share, probs delisted, no funds, no class, no style, no quality. Well, it's a big list... The fans have ended up with King in the background and hopeless Paul because no one wants to touch this small, hopeless, loss making stock. This has been a poorly run stock way, way before the Easdales got involved, and without the generosity of those kind Scottish banks, the wonderful trophy room would be a bit emptier.
Tip, tip, and jolly well done.
Dear chap, you probably have never tasted a bitter. Now then, I try to focus on the health or otherwise of this hopeless stock, not personal touches. Now then, let's start again. This has been a broken stock for 25 years, propped up by the bank. Then, after going bust, was taken over by Charles Green, whom the fans embraced (which should tell you a lot about the judgement of mob rule), followed by a spell of, well, the club not going bust thanks to Mike Ashley, followed by a new regime which lacks integrity (King) nor substantial funds. Now then, if you think that this is a step forward, well, jolly good luck with that one. The club will be liquidated by December. A hopeless stock. But, a shame. I do love a couple of nights at One Devonshire coupled with the new Anchor Line.
Oh dear, Martin. You must have started on the martinis early. I never touch a drop before 6.00. Now then, you really must sit at the back of the class and listen and please do attentively.....are you ready and do you have a notebook and a pencil? Here we go...... Your club is broke. Run into the found by SDM, then CW, then Green and McCoist. They buried that club. Then, when a guy turned up, wanting a buck for his buck (rightly), the loyal fans got rid of him, at least for the time being. And so, the gullible Daily King readers have voted in a convicted felon, who is short on intellect and even shorter on funds. The club has regressed in the past two weeks and remains a laughing stock. Delisting seems a probable outcome coupled with more begging bowls. This is a stock which is addicted to debt and permanently on a fiscal life support.
The only bitters are in my cocktails, dear chap. I would like this stock to do do well. But an addiction to debt with a criminal in the background and a lack of intellect at the top table........now, that what I call a really unhealthy cocktail.
What is there not to be happy about numpty (I think that's the Scottish term for a golem), your club is broke, running at a loss and desperate for a loan to prevent it from trading insolvently. If you are happy that this club has accepted money in the begging bowl, yet again, you clearly don't understand the fundamentals of running a business. Let me make it easy for you.......good news is breaking even or making a profit. Bad news is begging for loans. Geddit? As for King, did he offer to help out with loans to cover working capital? Probs not and I wonder why. This is a basket case of a club, a financial car crash which has a love affair going back 25 years with debt. It understands no other model. If you are happy with another loan to keep this appalling stock afloat, then I shall send you some fundamentals on how to fix and run a small, loss making business, which may alter your views. This is a club on a syringe called debt. Another fix will only last a while. A hopeless stock run by hopeless folks and fans who haven't a clue. And with a convicted felon in the background......well, it gets what it deserves.
Really poor that this site is being downgraded by personal slights and worse. This is meant to be a site for grown ups, NOT a footie site, and talking about the health or otherwise of this stock. Aqua has made consistently good points regarding this ailing stock and in a balanced way, in my view. Most folks here who post negative comments about King and Paul Murray (like me) do so because we would like the stock to survive and then flourish. We really do not want this stock to tank again. This has become the most disfuctional club in Britain (and that takes some doing....take a look at Blackpool and Leeds for starters) and it desperately needs leadership, intellect, integrity, decency, vision, professionalism, standards, quality and transparency. King and his gang don't provide any of those qualities which is why we comment on it. For the ardent Gers fans here, this is NOT about being anti Rangers. It's about commenting on a stock which needs higher standards than can be provided by a convicted felon. He is a shocking advert for a club which was bankrolled by kind Scottish banks for many years followed by the pantomime of the Green/McCoist years. This club, after years of trauma needed someone of stature and integrity at the helm to restore dignity and class. Instead, the fans voted for a convicted felon, and the club is immeasurably worse off than it was two weeks ago. That's not being anti Rangers. It's sheer common sense. In the meantime, please divert personal comments to footie sites which are full of nutters. There is a lot of good debate here regarding the health of the stock including lots of detail which I enjoy. Without folks like Aqua and SoF, there would be little to comment on here.
When I type in Green, somehow I end up with Greenfield! Perhaps he has a few names, which would be no surprise! But on that point, a large bulk of the fans were taken in by his appalling and embarrassing bluster. King's behaviours has been even worse and urging the fans to starve the club of funds was shameful. But hey, he is a convicted crook so what do the fans expect?
