George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
I doubt this will hit any OEM, perhaps may get added to some Dash Cams if they are lucky. Nota AI are AI specialists, not DMS experts. They list Hyundai as a Partner or Client, but I doubt it is for their DMS. Perhaps that is for their valuable Raspberry PI experience?
Bonzful - See wouldn't use STMicro VD55G1
Advanced Global Shutter 2D imaging sensor with 800x700 resolution, in compact size
Resolution is too small https://www.st.com/en/imaging-and-photonics-solutions/vd55g1.html
I will fix that imminently

santa is busy reading stacks of christmas letters from see shareholders asking for an rns for christmas, but he passed your request on to me.
luckily, i can deliver this one early, *************seeingmachines
the rest may have to wait until ces in january
the elves is
Most OEMs do their model switchover in this quarter. So you have production interruptions while they re-tool.
But you know what new models means - more cars get SEE on board and for cars that already have it they move down to be in more trim levels if it isn't mandated
Thanks JC, this is not auto related at all and certainly is not in competition with SEE.
Smart contact lenses that can focus and have control over the light entering the eye.
But what distance should the focus to? That is where the convergence comes in. It identified what you are looking at by how far you have converged your gaze.
Clever but crazy
I am looking forwards to the Latam and Skandi portions of Linde discussing their DMS suppliers with their colleagues at world wide safety conferences.
We both supply to top 10 companies in this segment, but which of us will extend to other regions?
Valeo's Smart Safety 360 is a single box that is mounted on the windscreen, near the mirror. It has forward and interior cameras and comes with 3 radar and 12 Ultrasonic sensors. ADAS in a box for OEMs.
Did I mention it has DMS and Paul liked it.
This will safely take our IP to China, India and anywhere else. Low integration costs means it can be added late in the design.
This will sell very well.
This is the perfect compliment to the Magna mirror for taking the bulk of low/mid market (aka mass market)
(And we still get our custom design cream for BMW etc)

No surprise that Paul likes it!
That is a slam dunk solution. The mirror location is the best, but doesn't need to be in the mirror.
Auto config of DMS and forward facing cameras make this possible, we have seen the patents and now here it is. Could be installed quickly in new vehicle designs, including India and China
Thanks Seize.
This video gets the TLS thumbs up.
Turn on closed captions and autotranslate via the CC and cog buttons, it is worth it.
This is preproduction still with OmniVision 2.3 Megapixel camera IR, will go to 5 MP before launch, where it will be RBG-IR so colour video available.
Thanks JC,
Gentex are falling behind on their parents!
Magna write War and Peace to cover every aspect.
Gentex show a DMS in a mirror, but the "unique" thing they are patenting seems to be the time it takes for the driver to notice what is happening outside.
Slim pickings!
Thanks Sandy, I will be monitoring the Deli counter in the local supermarkets and live posting updates to Cheese prices which are more relevant than a slowing of production in a minority of US plants, many of which haven't started using SEE yet.
Remind me which US union controls the Mexican Cuautitlán Izcalli assembly plant where the Mach-E is made?
I can report that no auto plants in Aberdeen have the UAW on strike!
As I suspected. Gentex use a vapour sensor to confirm intoxication

Check out my latest patent together with Thomas Herbert that highlights the potential to use the in-cabin sensing together with sensors on the outside or looking to the environment of the vehicle for adapting control and warnings from the Automated Driver Assist System using a dynamic attention area. #adas

Try that again.
Not keeping all it's eggs in one basket, this one from Magna isn't in the mirror, but on the dash and integrated with someone like Mobileye. Since they mention Mobileye, this isn't just a placeholder to stop others going this route

Pretty indecipherable, but they have added some parameters to measure driver state. Nothing actually about how the data is captured so not a worry for us
I think someone has a shorting agenda. I won't say who of course. No one can be spoon fed this many facts and still find arguments. It is blobby time. I have a strange feeling we have met this type before.
LittleFella, I think you are confusing DMS - Driver monitoring with actually controlling the steering and braking which Seeing Machines DO NOT do.
When we are excited to see sales of Blue Cruise or Supercruise, it is because Seeing Machines is checking the driver is paying attention, unlike in a Tesla where they don't need to actively monitor.
I far prefer the European approach of installing DMS across the board - helping to get everyone home safe.
