Seems as if peacetalks are picking up momentum and looking like Ukraine will remain neutral as oppose to joining nato. A break through just before a good set of results could send us flying.

My guess from a complete novice is one of two reasons: Ukraine/Russia. Scaremongering to keep investors living in fear.

Got to be a good thing. A large chunk of CINE revenue comes from the USA and thier 527 sites. Why not open it up to investors there.
Certainly opens up the market to a whole new audience potential buyers.
To me this shows intent from the board that we will not be raising funds through a rights issue.
Here's one case study I found albeit from a different sector and in Australia but the company value increased 5 fold.

From what I can see, K2 & associates took out half of thier current shorts between 30th November and 14th December. The price then was 48-52p.
