Money has to be 'parked' somewhere, 50% of the FTSE have either cut, cancelled or suspended dividends this year.

Cut - Dividend declared but dividend amount is reduced compared to previous payment.

Used to have the maximum £30k allowance in premium bonds, with moderate success, nothing spectacular.
Can't remember when I cashed them in, around 12/15 years ago but it was after they reduced the prize money and with it obviously the odds of winning.
Just thought I could get better returns investing the monies myself.
It has long been dispersed into my various accounts and TBH can't really say if it was a wise move or not, but I suspect it was.
I've never thought since of reinvesting in premium bonds despite two serious market setbacks (this year and 2008/9).
I have built up stocks and share ISA's over the years and accept that money not invested in these accounts is earning nothing but draw on them when needed.
It's not all about maximizing your returns all of the time, it's also about enjoying it.
