Hello to all.
I have been here for many many years and like a lot of LTHs managed to average down. I’ve always said I’m here as an investor till the end or nothing. However, having invested everything from shirt on my back to the kitchen sink (over 150k!), I was gutted when it started to sink (no pun intended). Anyway, managed to heavily average down from 3.9 to 0.7. For the last two weeks I have kept my cool and not sold a single share. Saw the dizzy heights of 4.5 yesterday LOL. Then this morning when I saw what had happened in Australia I had this really bad feeling so decided to get my money back and pocket some well earned profit…….sorry guys (had a full head of hair when this all began.....not anymore)
I am now free riding with 7m shares and this will be to the end.
Many years ago an investor said on this BB, "I just hope I'm on the right side of the grass when this erupts" .....well I hope so too, eruption immanent in T minus 4.5 days !
Do you guys remember DW saying it would be ten bagger when it was at 3p or he intends to fail fast, or he will be paying our mortgages off?...as far as I am concerned DW has done that for me and some :) . PB had the vision and DW tried his damndest to deliver. DW has done an amazing job (no I’m not saying this because I made money) but the fact that I, and many others, made money means there is less chance of me being shot down for saying this lol. I salute you sir.
Must admit I did miss a few heart beats when he announced he was leaving but I hope the personal reasons are no more then him wanting to spend time with his family and spending his hard earned wonga. You deserve it mate.
Role on Tuesday…..give it your best shot Dave
See you all Tuesday!

Hello ARDUK,
I for one am interested in what IG have had to say, however leaving contact details on a site is not something I (or many others) will do. I'd like to suggest if you wish to share your communication with fellow investors/victims please post on this board. If it's inappropriate content I'm sure it will be removed by admin. Just a suggestion.
Hi ARDUK
looks like we are in the same boat. I did not get any email asking me to confirm my contact details and IG have simply gone and closed the position as quietly as possible.
A part of me is concerned as, regardless of value, those shares belong to me so should be sat in my dealing account. MYSQ has said there is zero value to shareholders, does that mean this will always be the case? If so then no point in having a certificate. However, if MYSQ decide to fix their wrong doings then I am entitled to £40k worth of shares to which I don't have a certificate thanks to IG.
I'd be interested to hear how you get on with your complaint. I have acknowledged my loss and, partially, moved on. It's just really disheartening to see no one gives a ****. This is the UK ! we have laws in place...lol how naive was I
For what it's worth, I got this from IG website :
"If you have an open position on a stock that delists, we’ll close your position at a level of zero and typically open a new position – called a ‘proceeds line’ – on your behalf which is untradeable, has no price and brings no value to your account. Once the company confirms there is no return to shareholders, which can take years, we will close your proceeds line position at the level of zero.
However, we won’t start this procedure as soon as a company announces it is delisting. The stock status will first need to be reviewed by our corporate actions and risk departments."
I guess this means even if MYSQ come back it's lights out for shareholders?!?!?!
Hi Candybelle,
I'm not liking the situation I'm in. Like all I have lost my investment, but the way it's been wiped of my account by IG without any sort of attempt at contacting me, that can't be right.
When I called IG I kept asking if they were suppose to get my consent and if they made any attempt at contacting me. The personal I spoke with avoided answering these question and kept saying there is nothing he can do.
MYSQ have done a runner with my money that does not mean IG can treat a paying customer like this.
MrM,
I totally agree with what you are saying but in my case the shares have disappeared...gone. I'm not really interested in the certificate as a peace of paper does not add any value to this loss, however, what I was expecting was that the shares would have been moved from my ISA to my share dealing account and sat there.
This is not the case as they have been removed/deleted altogether. So in the event something positive happens it would be just my word that I had £40k worth of shares.
Some might say I will have a transaction statement, which I do, but surly IG can't just remove the shares from my account ? without even attempting to contacting me.
Hi People,
Been a long time away from here. One thing I have noticed is that all trace of my £40k has gone, no record of shares no cretificate no nothing. Has anyone got a certificate from IG?
Not sure how a certificate will help but in the unlikly event we have some legal assistance then we need to beable to prove our loss. By the way anyone know how the group persuit is going?
Is someone able to contact the plaintiffs legal team and present our case to them. They may be able to assist or even bring this fraud to the attention of the judge thus combining the cases...strike while the iron is hot...so to speak
T7 LOL are you for real....
"If you could give specific examples to back your statement that would be much helpful thankyou"
yes goldminer21 can you give specific examples as I've just got back from Mars and it seems my investment her has disappeared but not too sure why.
T7 I'd love to be optimistic about this share but come on man we are all down and wounded please don't tell us it's a figment of our imagination. If Chong was clean then he would at the very least report this to the authorities....which authorities? I hear you ask....ALLLLL OF THEM!
here's a serious question for you T7....do you seriously think Chong knew nothing about what was taking place?
for some time. As much as I'd like to say in the next week this will rocket into orbit, hold on to your hats, or my favorite "wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend". The AGM is less then a week away and I speculate before then the preferred partner will be announced to shareholders in an attempt to give us a worm feeling but no deal will have been concluded. More time will be required. This is a very complicated matter and rushing it could mean the difference between buying that five bedroom mansion or that ten bedroom mansion...so be patient. I was here when the BoD promised to pay our mortgages with a ten bagger and that was back when SP was 3.xp. 88E are doing everything to make it happen.
Hi all,
I have a scenario I'd like to run past everyone here :
The information we have to date would imply we have some big players interested in the FO. If I was a representative of one of these big players and DW wanted big money for the FO (looking after the shareholder and all that) then my acceptance to any deal would be base of an initial taster i.e. show me you got commercially viable oil. Scans, graphs, lab readings are all good but it's all theoretical. I want to see the stuff gushing out before I sign on the dotted line.
I think the current setback has hit us more then we will know, I believe the success of the drilling would have been a deliverable towards the initiation of a lucrative FO. So no oil means no FO.
The above is all my opinion, which makes sense to me....what are your thoughts?
Brom, firstly the "term of reference" is relative to the reader. You have read what I wrote and picked up on the point which effects you, others have read the same and picked up on something entirely different....each to their own. Secondly, there is no implication in my words I say it the way it is, if your offended please filter me (LOL thats got to be a first someone asking to be filtered lol).
Having read Crumble making a very valid point, I thought I'd show my support rather than pounce on him/her. Even if the opinion was ludicrous he/she is still entitled to post (just for the record I totally agree with crumble).
Brom...then why is it that when ever someone goes against the grain they get shot ? That should not be the case but it is
csw12.....I was here lonnnnng before you turned up LOL. of you go now
csw12,
I usually post when I have nothing else to do, but one thing I never do is give my position away. I am not a trader I'm an investor, going by what I have researched and like all I have made losses, profits and locked in. As long as the balance is positive then all good.
regarding ctag and mysq....theres no researching hidden intent (fraud). In hindsight everyone can say I saw that coming but really....lol i dont think so.
come on you know what I mean :)
um no, a logical approach implies the ability to evaluate both sides. Maintaining a desire for a particular outcome yet accept the complete opposite is also a possibility.
very interesting you don't mention TERN. In at 3.2 out at 38.1 ;)
Hi Crumble,
I totally agree with you. There is more then one outcome and most on this bb will not tolerate anyone with a logical approach. I am heavenly invested here and have been for a very long time but I know there is no certainty to a positive outcome it's all 50/50. the theory implies this, the rns implies that...blar blar blar it can go either way.
(but I must say the signs are good)
Like many I am excited, but that does not blind me to the fact that the last time things got exciting we hit depressing lows. So for all of you who think the only way is up....good for you and I hope your right but please make sure you can afford to either loose you investment or have it locked in for some time.
Hi All,
This CTAG saga has been going on for a while now and like most here my finances have also been trapped. A lot of people here following Amit despite his history. Be careful, AIM is ruthless and totally lawless. A while ago I was supporting Amit under the assumption that why else would he still be here if he did not have something to give back. But recently I have learnt the very hard way (MYSQ) that people on here who commit fraud intend to rinse every penny they can, and believe me when I say this, there is nothing you can do once they have taken your money and disappeared.
The above has no relevance at the moment but before you jump at throwing more money at this (assuming you get that opportunity) think carefully. Obviously all of above is only my opinion and I really hope CTAG comes up trumps but like the subject says not looking good.
