The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Morning all,
To try and move the needle of this record out of the little rut it is stuck in I wanted to ask for your thoughts on what the 5 key components are of the Hav PFS. What are we hoping to see?
Is it decline/shafts/surface facilities/transport
Or is it
Processes at the mill/AISC/minerals mix
Or is it
Governance/regulatory/compliance/
Or is it
Finance/funding
I’d be grateful for your top 5 as this is part of the next steps we’d benefit from fleshing out a bit.
Thanks to all of those who are posting great info and informed views.

This time last night was all anticipation, managing expectations, and hopefulness that we would receive good news.
24 hours later I am still awestruck about the exploration results and believe yesterday was probably the day the penny finally dropped that we are so far down the track towards a once in a generation discovery.
No doubts for me. I will remember 8.9.21 as the day my future was made a lot more secure than my past years. A turning point.
I can feel the tide turning for us all after this past 8-9 months of angst. There you go, I’ve called it. Time for GGP to shine brightly.

That daft post of mine earlier in the week about “a week in the life of our ceo ?”
And about it being just another week in paradise?
Not so impossible to dream after all then !
As Sir Alex nearly said - “bloody hell. Gold eh?”
Whoop whoop!
@CheltFlyer
I love the story of the guy who recorded last week’s lottery draw, filled in a fresh ticket with those numbers, got his wife to watch the vid with him without her knowing it wasn’t the current week. He went play-crazy telling her they had won and showed the ‘winning’ ticket. She said “thank god for that, I’ve wanted to divorce you for so long and now I can”.

It’s tough being a CEO. But Shaun is enjoying his time at GGP:
Tuesday - SD fields calls from a bevy of II’s begging for greater liquidity and more free float. SD then gets a load of e mails marked unnamed ‘confidential’ from the shorters begging for a hint about the drill results. SD also gets a ton of PR co calls asking him just how large he wants to go on Thursday. Twitter starts melting down as CEOs of other local mining cos up their estimates of HAV from 20m last week to 350m oz this week.
Wednesday - Byrnecut call SD to ask what on earth will they do with the wall of gold they keep encountering as it’s getting a bit embarrassing. The AEM flight controller e mails to say the choppers are being drawn like magnets to the ground as they fly over copper which pulls them in. Sandeep Zooms in with a big smile and a large sack of diamonds saying “Jeez mate, you can’t imagine what we’ve found now at Juri”. Katie from Proactive rings up for a cheery chat.
Thursday - a call from the drilling gangs at the new locations who are tripping over the large outcrops of yellow surface deposits that look like elephants. News from the London exchanges inviting GGP to join the 250. Sandeep Zooms again with an even bigger smile and says “Shaun mate, I’ve got a couple of hundred million dollars here for when you need it at mates’ rates...” and a sack of money behind him. ARV tweet they have found our drilling team block caving 800m under their land and wonder if they could join up with us pretty please.
Friday - Shaun has a 1:1 with the Chairman who asks how it’s going. Shaun says, “aah you know boss. Another week in paradise” and smiles wryly to himself. Bamps’s Casio calculator gets an upgrade again and Paddy tweets that the 50p share price is a steal. That chap Sandeep Zooms in again and says “mate ! We’ve done the PFS! Did we decide whether to upgrade to 6 or 7 Moz? I’ve still got that cash if you want it? Did I mention you can have a negative AISC if you prefer?”
Saturday - many PI’s contact their financial advisors about early retirement and the country experiences a major cash injection as a result of an Aussie investment.
Sunday - shorters experience a strange lower body ‘moment’ to use the parlance of the football manager as they see the movement in the stock. Gold reaches USD2000. The Greatland Gormless Grin is diagnosed as a condition.
Monday - Shaun is awarded the Nobel Prize. Peace spans the globe. The climate change stabilises and goes in to reverse. Kindness breaks out, the sun shines in a perfect Indian Summer.
Other variants of a happy CEO week are available. Not investment advice, instead a happy dream I wanted to share ;)

I have access to the alternative internet which tells us about the non-real world stories. On that there is a profile of Otto which makes it clear why he is coming:
“At Newscrest Otto helped the underground small people to move their village at -2000m to a new location in the Patterson by secretly drilling a tunnel across to the Northend Star tenement.
When at Northend Star Otto reconnected with the small people and apologised profusely for all the mucking about but drilled them a big tunnel to the Newfont land at -1800m.
Later when Otto went to Newfont - you’ve guessed it - he offered them an even bigger home at Greatland’s Havieron tenement that he had previously kept quiet about as Newfont had only drilled shallow. Otto knew that the gold and copper that the little people loved was there in abundance and after all the historical mucking about he would have to offer them something extra special.
Otto now has to offer them something even more incredible than his previous track record had shown, and whilst trust in Otto had grown with the small people they were getting a bit tired of all the moving.
Head of the small people Shaun the Leprechaun said “it will be fine, Otto has shown us Goliath as a new home and it’s bigger than anything we’ve seen before and bigger than Havieron”
In a statement from Otto he asked for his discussions to be concluded without media attention.”
Hope that helps
Isn’t it interesting to see the new guy brought in to oversee lots of mining - wherever and whatever that is, there’ll be plenty to do and a go-to guy in the team. IMO there is acquisition stuff in future when he’ll be needed.
We have a new CFO to manage the money and investments houses.
SD brought in a new PR firm and he is picking up investor relations. Canaccord new adviser making 3 now.
Talks often about ethical sourcing of minerals, has focussed well on indigenous relations too. Good CSR.
PFS, MRE (is it #2 or #3) to come. FS early next calendar year. JV $50m cash. All value markers and dilution avoiders.
My rather obvious conclusion is that this is a stack of progress for a new CEO inside 6 months.
And did I mention the decline yet? And the many kms of drilling the 18 holes for a new golf course across the Paterson?
I do feel a bit like a kid wishing my life away as Christmas approaches. Happy days. Keep the faith. We’ll hopefully look back on this as the ‘waiting year’ when we recover our equilibrium.

My monthly SIPP payment has gone to GGP today @16.83. Too good to pass up the opportunity in the 16s.
Curious how we are all full-throated, knew-it-was-the-best, top-Aim-share, what-a-great-CEO, best-drill-results-ever brigade only weeks ago. Remember the late night buzz when NCM publish the 7 weekly numbers?
Then in between those times we get the OMG, GH is tricky, must be a placing, somebody lost the assays, conspiracy, mayhem, I’ve got a nosebleed, can you please stroke me as I’m worried it’s all a hoax nervousness appearing.
I’m not immune but maybe do what the sports people do and revisit and visualise that feeling you had when you saw the updates from NCM and the great PR interviews and presentations at Diggers. The message board was like an acid house party with all of us singing together and dancing wildly.
Nothing has changed. 16p. Incredible opportunity to top up if you can. If you can’t then we will soon be back for more great results and you’ll have experienced the rare thing that is a window to buy gradually whilst waiting for the GGP bus to come. I expect there’ll be 2 or 3 buses along all at once quite soon.

@Peter
Fair question, but we’ve moved beyond understanding the SP. Until there is a PFS or FS we are in a rut. Which is why looking at the bigger picture of what the territory contains is time better spent. By that I mean give ourselves even more belief based on sound geo facts (and some guesses) that are in the the regional data and which will set,out the years of rewards ahead rather than getting bogged down in what is, truly, a b@llache of an SP rut at the present time.
Re software, I suspect there are some mining resources - poss governmental - that hold this. But the commercially sensitive data will be held tight by the miners.
Bamps and others have shared their workings out and we can all pitch in with a concerted effort to find more intel that reassures ourselves. Hence my earlier comment about how this board was in 2018 and how the great contributors identified the info before it was even shared by the company.
We’re getting back to talking about mining #conjecture which in turn will give strong indicators of what the SP might do in future.

Bamps
It’s painstaking stuff, I’m sure, but like others have said we are fortunate that we have you mapping it for interest and to aid understanding.
I guess the imagery that NCM/GGP have and that they are 6 months ahead in their understanding gives them reasons to sound so confident.
You’ve given us a nudge to go look at published info. I have a week off work now so will read up some more about the regional prospectivity.
Re Callum’s cheeky screen image behind him. I bet he now has more blobs to play with and the screen looks a bit like what you’re drawing.

Hi Bamps,
Well that Artemis report is a great read, esp for me pp 8 and 9.
You’ve regularly suggested the rising/falling of some ‘river’ as I’m calling it as a non-geo and I see that now. I used to think that the business was all about finding those red- or white-coloured blobs and drilling them. What is becoming clearer is the red and white blobs are below surface too (obvious really) and ARV’s paper shows that possibility of a fall away line deeper and deeper when below-surface blogs are hiding. #conjecture
I don’t have the brain capacity to follow the geo points you make but by gently suggesting that some mining #conjecture would be good to change the narrative on here, we’re getting back to what this board dd so well in 2018 and later with such great geo insights.
This stuff is great - with you taking up the mining #conjecture challenge you’ve reset the agenda and taken us back to a board which shows the immense potential across the region.
No time or space to fret over SP when there’s so much geo to follow. No doubt cleverer people than me will keep the geo debate rolling alongside you. If I was to do some #conjecture of my own I’d say the luck we’ve had was in getting one of those deliberately jigsaw-like licence areas that fell in to CB’s wish list, paid up, drilled smart, and got a whole region talking first about Hav as a flagship find.
Cool finds, thank you esteemed GGP geo specialist. I’m now anointing you as Prof Bamps in the pantheon of figures in there with Prof Gall who both lead the thought leadership in our particular place of learning.
I’m happy to be a first year geo student :)
