Can someone please explain to Stokey, that if you have over £3 Billion in the bank, you dont have to increase debt to buyout a competitor for £750m.

PS. I think that there is a very good chance that BAEs cash pile will increase enough to buyout HARL on its own. ie buy HARL and still have £3 billion cash.

Interesting FACTs to take into account , when considering a HARL valuation in 2 years time.

a.BAe Systems in now on a PE of 21.

b. They now have a cash balance of over 3 Billion pounds.

c. On sales of 500m and a blended margin rate at a low level of %20 , Operating profit would be £50m, if a generous 50m was allowed for overhead expenses.

d. At a reduced ( compared to BAe)PE of 15 , an offer would be in the region of £750m

e. HARL has172m shares in issue.

f. If this continues to be the case then the offer would amount to £4.36p for each share.

From previous buying sprees, I reckon she is happy to chomp them up to at least 14p odd.

If you listen to the last presentation carefully, its clear that the deal has been done, they are just waiting for Red Tape . to be tied. The lowering of inflation will greatly help the part of the deal the High Streets banks, which was also mentioned. The news of the deal, which could come at any day now, will be transformative for both HARL and the SP.

Bubble,i think that once we secure a Good Finance deal, then the £1 party is only a matter of time. I am sure of that. What i am less sure on is the time period before hitting it. The market is funny and doesn't take everything into account , that it should do. Small caps like HARL are notr reported on on analysed in any great depth. I remember making a point a number of months ago regarding Rolls Royce. A unexpectedly good trading statement caused the SP to rise 20%. How does that happen with a company like RR. The point i am making is that if the market can make a 20% mistake on RR, it is possible that it has undervalued HARL by multiples of that.

I stated earlier this month that i believe that we will have a series of interest cuts before the election. Lenders know this and will be keen to lock in customers as soon as possible. Its simple business. Lower interest rates are very good news for HARL.
