it sense cancer cells are over reliant on chk1 because p53 and atm are not working or are mutated, thus the cells grow continuously. so in that sense chk1 inhibitor should work perfectly fine without kemo????

yes that should be better since not every cell by that logic if i understood correctly will be damaged, i think the rationale behind using both is that kemo damages the dna, and inhibiton of chk1 will not let the cell go thorugh that check point, thus not allowing the cell to divide because it has damaged dna...but i always thought tbh, that kemo more kills the cells that hurts them...so ???

great posts as i expected, to be honest what i was curious about is how it works together with kemo, and should have maybe worded it better..but i have one thing that i still am curious about, you said cancer is basically mutations of specific places in the dna, coupled with uncontrolled growth, taking the above into account, does that mean a dividing cell is necessarily reliant on chk1 or only because cemo does damage to the dna, not sure if mutations count as dna damage- probably not am i right ???
