I used to be in the role of a buyer …. Not hard to guess.
Thing is as in any deal, strategy, negotiation, contract etc etc …. You have to stand back and ask basic questions

The simple way of keeping MM’s surly is to issue a RNS that actually relates to sale projection. If we see the price reflected in that they will run to the hills and investors can start to plan the party……
