Agree - take on Waitrose, Tescos et al
Increase VAT on all Supermarket sold alcohol drinks...say, to 55%.
Reduce VAT on drinks in Pubs & Restaurants...say, to 10/15%
This Reduces home-alone-alcoholism...helps both the NHS & Liesure -Industry.
Gets more people out eating/drinking/socialising helping the economy re-boot.
Selfishly, Sees my shares in JDW soar...cant be a bad thing.

Yes, Guys, sadly prices have risen but me & the Mrs still have F&C @ JDW at least 3 times a week;
usually after our afternoon visit to Odeon Maidstone - got Limitless for £12.77 a month for any number of visits;
these two reduce the heating bills at home considerably.
If prices rise any more, might have to reduce the Grand-Kids pocket-money -
At eighty it's nice to live dangerously.

Like you I'm looking for new motor - finding it very confusion @ the moment.
Tending toward a Hybrid(?) as can't see petrol being phased out within next 30yrs.
Kids/Grandkids have a variety of motors but seem to agree the Prius would be
up with the best, most reliable, for their GOG (Grumpy-Old-Git)
As a LTH of BP-shares, will be keeping them until the Will is read.
Now, where's the DIVI Looney?....And stuff the mad RUSh to Green.
