Take away the deramping and ramping...11 Feb 2026 12:46
There's been a lot of ramping and deramping nonsense posted today and yesterday. Felt compelled to stop lurking and pipe up to seek clarity.
I've been a holder for about 5 months with an average value 23.5p. Today, I'm teetering into the red. For many, the market reaction to the MRE has been incredibly distressing. Just weeks ago I was sitting on a 60% increase, for me, that's huge. For some it's nothing. I don't care about how many 'bags' someone has or doesn't have. To me, it matters.
I am not a mining expert, but I understand the broad case for investing in gold miners given the broader geopolitical position.
So could someone please factually restate the case for OMI over the next 12 months? Strip out the purposeful negativity, told-you-so-ism, strip out the rockets - both takes have been proven as silly as each other over the 9 months I've tracked OMI and 5 I've held. I intend on holding for at least 12-18 months more.
Over that time period, what is the feasible, material investment case for this company that makes it a better place to put my hard earned cash than elsewhere? What are the risks? If this board has the expertise I've noticed often claimed by both the optimists and pessimists, a balanced answer shouldn't be impossible. Thanks.
