RE: Interesting change in the under5 Nov 2019 06:13
I’m relatively new to this share, so feel free to correct me, but I would imagine that the BoD have worked through the funding scenarios many times. Do you think they expected the drill to be funded by PI or II? Or a combination? For my perspective, they wanted to give PIs the opportunity to participate, but it’s unlikely they were solely banking on them for the funds.
They will have been having conversations with IIs to drum up investments and this is why they expect to have everything concluded by 8am today. It won’t be the case that at 4pm yesterday they said “right we need to get on the phones and find a few million, sharpish!”
Also, they have a $1m safety net with Shore as well as their own £250k pledge.
I actually think that 50% funding through PI is excellent. I would have assumed they had IIs lined up to provide ‘at least’ 50% and I actually expect we may be oversubscribed as they will have already got IIs interested in taking significantly more than 50%.
At the moment no one knows so let’s wait and see what 7am-8am brings, but I cannot believe that these guys did not have a clear funding path organised with IIs already.
Again, for me, 50% PI support is a massive tick in the box and I assume that the BoD have been planning their scenarios around raising funds with considerably less contribution from PIs.
Just my thoughts, could be wrong but we will find out soon.
