To be honest, I just took the figures from the summary sheet on page 27 which detailed 29,000,000 in Income but an actual spend of 32,000,000 (Page 27/53.) I do see the surplus of £6,000,00 but there is a lot of careful accounting in the presentation of the figures.
All companies beyond a certain level are guilty of that though, especially RMG.
It seems they have plenty of money in the bank, but their pension scheme fund as you said seems to be in a mess, but that could and probably unwind in due course.
Of that £29,000,000 only £1,000,000 was paid out in member benefits, but they somehow spent £2,000,000 on stationary, postage and telephone
Realistically, they should have a much higher net profit margin, but just like RMG UK they're hemorrhaging money in administrative and labour costs and costs to Labour.
