During the long development period when Nanoco met all the milestones and stages STM would have been conducting a similar parallel approval process with its key customers. In business we call this "market research". Some of you might have heard this term before.

I see the buy back is continuing. It was the company who granted Cavendish a free hand in this so the company also has ultimate authority to intervene if it considers it prudent to do so. Since the buy back continues it must mean that Nanoco do not envisage running out of cash for the foreseeable future, even in their worst case models.

Facts: We know nothing about how long the Gen1 orders have been delayed. They were never going to be very large anyway and for all you know (ie nothing) the delay could easily turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Tenner didn't sell a single share in the tender offer.

I think Tenner has been a great success. He has turned the company around 180 degrees by suing Samsung, which wasn't on the cards at all when he took over from Edelman.

I'm sorry if others don't see it that way but it's clear that's because they got their heads in a mess with completely unrealistic expectations about the final damages.

Since he's a lawyer and an accountant I think it's quite possible that Tenner was only employed as CEO to see the litigation through and now that it's over it's entirely possible that he's been head-hunted to do the same somewhere else. He has a long history turning other businesses around. Everything in the RNS announcing his departure suggests this and he hasn't been asked to clear his desk in a rush.

Now that the company is safe it can recruit a new CEO with more industry knowledge and that is what I expect it will do.

I don't see any merit in trying to connect Tenner's departure with other events. If you do, you're just guessing and assuming and we know how well that worked out for you before.

I don't understand how you expect to find the OEM products. The underlying tier one sensors may never appear in STM's catalogues either. There may be no need since most likely STM are in direct dialogue with all their customers who are developing products around them.

There are demo videos of two sensors on YouTube that have been up for ages.

You should be looking at the catalogues of industrial component factors, like RS Components, (https://uk.rs-online.com/web/) to see when they start stocking high res QD SWIR sensors (they haven't yet so far as I can see).

Yes it does because the product he was referring to was STM's tier 1 component, not the final consumer items in which it will be incorporated. The company has always said it has no visibility of OEM products.

That's what all the AVP speculation misunderstood.

We're not discussing a product that isn't on the market. We're discussing how a tier one component product might be taken up by OEM's - of whom there might be hundreds.

I think that manufacturers using the Gen1 product are likely to be carrying out a lot of product design and development around it for their specific applications. I don't think it's likely that STM have produced a plug and play chip but just a chip with an interface that needs to be run on bespoke code programmed on a central processor in each final iteration. This may be why it's taking time to get products to market.

If that's right I can't see them throwing all their R and D work away for Gen 2 so I anticipate that will be a separate line and not a replacement.

The first order went into STM's sensors which will be sold to customers for use in electronic devices. There are two versions, hi res (about 3mp) and lo res (basically a simple two pole, bi stable device).

You may think he could have got more but, if so, then that;s because you were :-

a. closed to the possibility the case could have been lost, and

b. you got carried away by all the unjustified talk of larger amounts, and

c you do not understand the pressures that force sensible parties to always conclude litigations early whenever possible

The institutional investors sold because you lot ramped the shares gifting them windfall profits at your expense.

Since Tenner is a lawyer I wonder if he joined just for the duration of the litigation. It is hard to see why else he’s the best qualified now it’s in the past.

Anyway, I don't think anyone but greedy forum fools think his directorship has been anything but a huge success.
