RE: Cracking update.30 Aug 2022 11:06
I know AW has expressed his desire to see a dividend (especially for the initial investors) to reward their investment. So I wouldn't be too surprised at an initial dividend.
There has been talk and I have agreed that this will be a good dividend stock, but the company IPO document refers to the capital growth as being the main focus of the company. See below
Dividend Policy
"The Directors believe that the Company should seek principally to generate capital growth for Shareholders,
but may recommend dividends at some future date, depending upon the generation of sustainable profits,
if and when it becomes commercially prudent to do so, subject to having distributable reserves available for
the purpose. There can be no assurance that the Company will declare and pay, or have the ability to declare
and pay, any dividends in the future"
Is this an industry standard statement to ward against committing to regular dividends.
All good either way for me, capital growth would probably suit me better, but will take regular dividends if they come along on the back of increased met coal prices.
